It's been a tough week drama-wise with the PogoTribe. Here's how we start repairing the damage that has been done. Step one: Watch TEH TOK vimeo.com/10941148Step two: Don't Panic!Step three: Post your thoughts in this thread. Everything will be just fine. I love you all.

The video is not processed yet, but, I can honestly say, THE BOOK CLUB AND MUNNY CHALLENGE WILL STILL GO ON.
As I am not part of a triad, or admin, and I am actively helping end world such, and trying to insult as few people as possible while doing it, this video will not affect me much.
I will watch it mainly for historical and educational purposes.
I hope he says what's on my mind about the whole situation...

OKay, I agree with what you said, and I understand it. I am going to make it my personal goal to think about what level Im posting before every post, and I think we should all do the same!
I have one question, is karson an admin or not?

I agree that we're at a level 3 right now.. I hope we can make it (back?) to a level 4, (though I was never convinced that we were there). But with recent events, we've definitely taken a step back. Is Karson going to continue to be an admin? I like him and I don't think the backlash was fair. As for the antimosity against admins, I've definitely noticed it, but I don't think we're all feeling it. I don't think I've ever had a problem with an admin, and I don't think it's fair to say that we've all had this problem.

Whew, that... was a long two days.
Okay! My thoughts:
1. I don't think it was fair of you to say that the decision wasn't unanimous and that all the admins did not make the announcement of the 9th admin. The decision WAS unanimous, just not in completely solidified way. Every admin did say they wanted Karson, and I feel like you didn't make that clear. It was only that we never discussed it as a group, which is what should have happened (and you know my reaction to that etc. already and I see no reason to go into it again). And, again, every admin was in the call as the congratulatory e-mail was being sent to Karson. And every admin was in the call as the announcement thread was being made. And it's not like, I was being a quiet little good girl in the corner, not saying anything to anyone when this was happening. No, I was repeatedly asking for help on what to say, etc. So yeah, I want to clear that up for the sake of my rep.
2. I think you should have said the members need to be nice as well as the admins.
3. I'm tired of having secrets. In my opinion, most (not all) of the bad relations between admins and non-admins has been because of secrets. Besides all of the admins deciding early on that the process for choosing new admins should be a secret, we never really say anything is secret. So, hey, no more secrets unless we all specifically decide it should be secret. Yeah! (That's kind of something that is mainly for the other admins to read, but I think the members should know it too.)
All in all, I'm glad to have this cleared up. ^_^

My comments: 1) I have been wondering about these "common values". I haven't seen that much of that yet. Yes, we do agree on civil discussion on the moon, and that's a great thing, I've never seen anything like that on the internet before, at least not on such a huge scale. But there is no goal, people create random projects which are often very awesome, but totally OVERWHELM all the inhabitants of the SPOTM. I really think this is a problem and this should somehow be solved.
2) I never have felt any animosity to the admins and really never saw this drama coming. It's true that the admins might need to be a little more transparent, but we also need to learn to trust people with tasks. The admins' tasks are to keep the SPOTM clean and healthy. If they have to report every single thing they do, their job will become impossible, so just put a little faith in them.
3) To be honest, I don't think that in the short while (2 weeks) I've been here, the Pogotribe has been a level 4 tribe. I think we're still far from that, but if we keep working together, discuss issues like civil human being and keep this pace, we'll get there.

For anyone wondering whether or not Karson is an admin, we can't answer that for sure. We as current admins are going to have to take a step back and a step together and re-do the application process for the final admin. I can't give you more details now simply because I don't know them fully myself. He may be an admin because, after redoing the applications, he may be the best choice. However, that statement goes for anyone who will be considered for the position.

Don't worry bree, we all (I hope) don't see it as you being the only admin making that decision. I dont know the whole story, because I'm not one, but I think that for the most of the pogotribe, myself included, we see the admins annoucements as a whole. One person posting is just the medium. It is really all of the admins posting together. You do the right things as a whole, and in this case, you fail as a whole. Not one of you should be singled out, and it would be vary unfair. And remeber, FIABT (Failing isnt a bad thing)
^okay that last part was a failed rip off joke of DFTBA and all that jazz.

Woah! I need to get more involved as well. I somehow didn't log in much or look at more than the Triad boards/threads. I've been talking to a lot of people on Skype though and this is the first I've heard of some of these problems. That's not to say that there weren't. But I personally haven't had any negative feelings towards the admins or anyone here on the Moon. I love all of these people and all of their special gifts :]

Oh and you should totally opt into the Pogotribe Skype chatroom sometime. We've got good conversations over there. Sometimes it's silly stuff, but there are also the great ideas and great talks.

Jeez, you guys post fast.
In response to the video, yeah I agree mostly with what Bree said. I now know the fault wasn't necessarily in a lack of communication altogether but more in unclear communication and a lot of unintended subliminal messages and attitudes.
I think what we lack is not necessarily niceness but respect, because that's what we've lost. The members (with perfect reason) became frustrated with the admins' secrets, thus there was tension and distrust. I can only speak for myself when I say that the obvious negativity towards admins made me angry and it led to some rude responses. I also realize that rather than help spread the anger I should have attempted to stem it.
With that being said, I also hope that the rule of "treat others how you wish to be treated" could be applied here. When I meet someone, I automatically treat them kindly. If they respect me, I respect them back. If they are disrespectful, I become disrespectful as well. I don't think that a level 4 or 5 tribe member should need to seek and earn respect. Rather, respect can be violated and THAT should be prevented and the problems causing it should be solved.
EDIT Ah, everybody keeps replying faster than I can lol.
@dan Righto. I can't wait to get this whole deal straightened out.
