I got this idea, I don't know if it's stupid or not or whatever. Everyone in the Pogotribe claps. AT THE EXACT SAME TIME! If everyone in China stood on a chair, jumped off and landed in complete unison, it would set the world off it's axis. How about instead of (possibly) destroying the world, let's unite it! We can make flyers, and spread it around on a certain date, everyone claps.
Think of it as a symbolic gesture to unite the world.
///EDIT\\\
I guess the whole China thing was wrong, but it isn't a blatant lie either. If we all did that we might cause a small tremor, according to Camoon Lee

Actually, if we jumped all at the same time, it wouldn't do anything. It takes a lot of force to move a planet. But this is a pretty awesome idea.

Thanks, I guess the random fact app on my iPod has proven me wrong. :-(

Yeah, those sorts of things can be misleading sometimes.

I don't believe the Earth could go off axis, but it would do something...
I mean when I was in school we did a thing where we all jumped up and down at the same time, and other schools (and people) around the country were doing it too, at that precise point in time.
They recorded a minor tremor in my town due to everyone jumping.

Apparently if everyone in China jumped and didn't come back down, the earth would go a tiny bit off its axis. But the force of them landing would cancel out the, er, anti-force of them jumping.

It's pretty simple: Action equals negative reaction. whatever we try to do to influence the earth's turning/orbit around the sun, unless we completly leave the atmosphere and do not enter it again it's all balanced.

Cool Idea... but I feel that there are some more important projects we should and could be doing right now...

That would be so cool!
Only thing is that if you are going for A LOT of people, meaning maybe, somewhere in a big city (NYC?) You would do a clap and happen to hear someone else clap too, it's not very likely. There are ALOT of people in the world, and I don't know when you want to do this but it would take ALOT to spread the word around. First we'd spread it around SPOTM, then certain members of youtube, then all of youtube, then people would try and get people around their cities/town, you'd have to get MAJOR media plugs, get people to spread the word around social networks...
It would take too much effort to jump start it, and get the ball rolling. Cool idea though!

Cool Idea... but I feel that there are some more important projects we should and could be doing right now... Just pointing out that clapping takes less than a second to perform.

^It actually takes me several tries to clap. It's very challenging for me to get both hands to line up.
