Are you creative? Do you have a knack for making banners? Well, why not submit something for the banner competition!
We're looking for a new banner to head The South Pole of the Moon forums! There aren't really any restrictions, but try not to make it too big or too small. If you want to submit a background to go along with your banner, that's fine. If you just wan't to submit a background, that's cool, too.
Post your submissions in this thread, please.
The deadline for submissions is May 30th, 2010!
There will be two rounds of voting when the deadline is up. The first round will determine the top ten submissions. The second round will determine the winner of the banner competition..
But we have a question for you guys: do you want the top ten finalists to have their banner and/or background tested on the forum itself for a day [each], or do you want to see screenshots of the banner and/or background instead? Or both?

I want screen shots to vote on, and when we pick the winner, test it for a day, and if we don't like it, we take it down. Is that possible?

DEFINITELY the "top ten finalists to have their banner and/or background tested on the forum itself for a day [each]" option. Best way to see if we truly like each one.

I'd like to (re-)propose the banner made by old SPoTM username Philosoraptor (in here), as pointed by the user with the rotating name 2 posts above. The banner is the following: The wiki logo is the following: And here is a preview of how the logo would look like: As user with rotating name pointed out, I made an userstyle for applying the logo to the layout, in here. Tomorrow, when I have time, I'll update this post with all info I can give about how to implement the banner (code to add/replace, etc). Here is all the info necessary to apply the banner (limited by what I can see from the code): Original code <br /> - - - -

I would like to point out that in the code ptmb provided, it doesn't code the page for the irc chat. Can this be fixed?
