I agree with prettypenguin on this. And her rather insistent cat.

I've seen a million times that the Noble Cause can't be too specific or too vague. Why can't it be specific? Why can't we make sure every child in the world has a pair of shoes? I'd say it is almost better the more specific it is. Because it will be easier to actually come up with a good plan of achieving it then. We don't have to think impossibly big just for the sake of thinking impossibly big. Who says we must necessarily only have one Noble Cause?

Please view the POGOTOK (especially the part where I discuss the Noble Cause and give examples) to understand why there is always "just one" Noble Cause (even though that vernacular makes little sense).

Okay, so I haven't read all 5 pages of this discussion or the last discussion thread, but I see by the six goals listed that we are aming a bit too high maybe? In my view, universal happines is not possible. Even in the animal kingdom there is not universal happines, a lion eats a zebra and that makes the zebra unhappy, and the zebra heard is not happy when they are chased by a lion. But if the lion can't eat a zera, they will starve, and be unhappy. So if all life ended it would be universal happines because noone would exist so they couldn't be unhappy. If only one lifeform existed, that life would be sad because it's all alone. Anyways, so all the other goals are great goals but Why can't we have a more measurable goal? My suggestion is: Make Dan Brown president of the USA. That way HE can help end world suck and world hunger! This goal will take time, but it's possible to measure, and for 365days we can control Dan to be more "presidentual" (idk if thats even a word). When he is president, our work is still not done, because we have to make sure that he does end world suck and world hunger (just examples), so SPOTM doesn't need to "die", we can still support him and be his guides and tell him what we think he should do. And after hopefully 8 years of Dan Brown as president with Danielle as first lady ( ) we can still exist (if we want to) to make sure the following presidents are continuing on the work Dan started, and end world suck and world hunger. BUT we can start at the first goal Make Dan Brown president. What do you think?

Though I understand (only very slightly) not reading every post in a thread this long before responding, you simply could have just looked at the latest: I'd say it is almost better the more specific it is. It's hard to actually give this place a "noble cause." There is so much we stand for here, and everyone wants to see something different happen.
I won't analyze the choice we can make but I do have a great suggestion for a noble cause:
"Telling the World -(dramatic pause)- About Our World"
EDIT: Sorry 'bout that bump.

What about "peace"?
Its quite simple but yet so profound. Once the world achieves peace, there wont be a need for us anymore.
I don't only mean political peace, but spiritual peace, and psychological peace.
If all that we do is towards peace, I don't think there could be a more noble cause than that.
DIFP (do it for peace)

you can be hungry and peaceful... you can be deathly ill and peaceful... No you can't because if you are hungry your body is not at peace. If you are ill, well same thing.

personally i think global communication would be the best choice, i think that because communication is needed to form trust, and trust is needed to end war, and so on and so forth. i think it is important that the people in the world communicate before trusting one another enough to bring global happiness, or an end to world suck. even global peaceful coexistence is impossible if people don't trust and understand one another.

So, have we created some sort of system to decide this?

So, have we created some sort of system to decide this? I'm working on setting up the live show I discussed in my POGOTOK.
