Yes. We survived the ice age. (At least our older selves did). But maybe he's referring to nuclear war or something? In that case, maybe.

humans will survive. Our culture might not, our society might not, the vast majority of us and our descendants might not, but the species will.

We're gonna be bigger if we survive. With all the growth hormones in meat, humans will be much bigger on average than now.

We're gonna be bigger if we survive. With all the growth hormones in meat, humans will be much bigger on average than now. I think it's probably not because of growth hormones in the meat but has more to do with the fact that we have much better access to meat and high energy food. According to wikipedia second and third generations immigrants from warzones and poor areas get much taller then their people in the old country. Also natural selection, taller and bigger men are usually considered more attractive then smaller men. People in the western world have been getting taller for a long time, long since before we knew of anything called hormones.

From my experience people seem to be getting shorter not taller but this is really a matter of personal perspective now isn't it.
Now if you do an actual study and find that on average teenagers in high school on average were X amount taller or shorter than the average for teenagers 8 years ago that would be a little more accurate.
But to say people are getting taller because you're taller than your dad and he's taller than his and so on, that's not accurate at all. I'm shorter than my dad. And threw high school the average hight of freshman seemed to get shorter every year. By the time I was a senior in high school the freshman were the average hight of my 6th grade class. I actually thought everyone had jumped a few grades. Of course this may have been a simple trick of perspective considering my class was still growing as well and from my perspective it didn't really look like anyone had ever changed so rather than seeing it as we're growing it just looked like the lower classes are shrinking.
Have I confused anyone yet?

Digression! Please refer to the subject heading.
The only feasible threat to the human race I can think of (and as short-term as one hundred years) is nuclear holocaust. It's entirely possible (we've come close before) but not likely to extinguish the entire species (or at least not directly).
