Hey, so my idea is pretty much this:
A bunch of groups of people get together maybe one in each of your guys' areas that pretty much dedicate themselves to help, generating ideas/creative stuff, and maybe even help with some semi-serious type stuff.
Maybe like called the Pogoforce or something.
Helping at old folks homes, gathering clues to help solve crimes, volunteering to build homes for people. You know, good stuff.

*seal of approval*
But I don't think the tribe is large enough to empower this project quite yet.

Well that's kinda why its at the idea stage right now, but we have at least 177 active members to get the ball rolling with. It only takes one member and a few of their friends to get things going in their area.

There are no other pogomembers in my area, let alone my state I've tried getting friends involved, but they weren't interested.

Hmm, well that doesn't really stop me or other pogomembers from taking up our duties in our areas. But you do bring up a good point with the friends thing. If not friends, maybe find people at your school interested in helping? Start a club or put up fliers. It's not really something that would be too hard to get together.

I love this idea! Sort of like mini-tribes in different areas that all work for the values of the greater Tribe.
I don't think that other members of these task forces need to already be pogomembers, there just needs to be an initial person who gets things started. Regarding the issue of friends not being interested, probably more members could be found by going to local helping-people type places, such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, animal shelters, etc. and talking to volunteers there about the idea of a task force, and whether they would be interested in helping or if they know where to find people who would be. Considering that a task force would be something that would probably directly assist those places, you'd probably get a very good response.

This idea is going on the right track, but what we need are some concrete tasks to focus on and a way to centralize our efforts. First we could vote for which idea we want to do in a poll (like picking up trash or volunteering at a soup kitchen). Then we could find a group of people and do that task, while at the same time recording our efforts with picture or video (similar to the project "Warm Fuzzies" except that it is more open-ended since it doesn't require video). Afterwards we could compile everything into a website or blog.
What do you think?

It's kind of hard when there's almost no pogotribers in my whole country xD.-
...
Now that I think of it, if you have certain leadership attitudes, you may be able to do it without it being so pogotribe-focused. Like Cmc said, we could vote for an specific idea for everyone to do. Then find poeple who would want to participate, this could be done by, for example, creating a facebook group or event with the details of the project/idea. That way people who have nothing to do with the SPOTM would join to the project.

Wow, I didn't even think about the Facebook page idea. It would be easily accessible (as long as you have Facebook), easy to send out notifications, and (best of all) free. A lot of my friends use Facebook, and some of my friends are into community service, so they would probably be into it. If we made a page, what would we call it?
