i dont think things would go as bad as death but the amount of trolls on the internet does kinda outnumber the amount of awesome pepole ( add duchebags and assholes there ) i just worried that he might hurt himself  |

Yes, quite a few of us have discussed this. It very possible that someone will mention Dan on 4chan again and they'll make Dan do bad things. But Dan has said that he won't do anything illegal, so we don't need to worry about that. And not all trolls are bad. Really, a lot of trolls are awesome people. Trolling is fun, but trolls can be serious when necessary. And they wouldn't try to harm a person just for teh lulz.

trolling for fun it fine but when i say trolls i mean pepole who troll... on a site about the life of a person. i mean, sure you can put: eat a cookie as a month long goal, just for the lulz
but... when you say crash your car and tell all your duchebag friends: hey vote here ansd this guy is gonna crash his car and videotape it.
i mean... sht happens, an on the internet, well it tends to happen quite often

And I really don't think even the trolls would be that mean. Trolls are just normal people.. They like to say stupid things, but at the end of the day, I don't think that they'd try to hurt someone irl. I think that when we say "trolls" are going to ruin this, we mostly mean 4chan. I mean, it doesn't exactly have the best reputation... But even 4chan has used its community to do some amazing things. And I think in this case they'll use their power for good instead of evil.. and maybe a little bit for teh lulz... |

If the project took this long to create, there should be some sort of intricate filter policy so that say, the post would not come up if it had keywords such as: Kill, Death, etc. or something along those lines.

Well, a system like that wouldn't have been very great, I think the voting system is best, and probably a "report" button too. Because with the system you're describing, something like: Help a person who is facing death (e.g. a person with cancer) or Make a suicidal person not kill himself/herself would be filtered out, while they aren't exactly what I'd call negative things to do. |
