Okay, I agree that Dan should be more active, but honestly. He's just one person. He has a life. And he has to make videos, too! Would you rather he stopped making videos completely just to devote his life to this site? No, because that would defeat the purpose of this site, which is a home for the Pogotribe started on his YouTube page.
Someone said that he has time to eat and sleep, so why not this? So are you putting eating and sleeping on the same level as posting on a forum? I think that nourishment is far more important than going on the internet, despite how awesome it is. I mean, if you don't eat, you die. If you don't go on a forum, nothing really happens. Well, you might be sad, or people might get mad at you, but nothing life-threatening happens.
I say we just wait for Dan 3.0, which Dan has obviously put a lot of thought and work into, and see how that unfolds. I'm psyched for this project! It's gonna be amazing, and if anything, further develop the Pogotribe as a community.
Dan created this community, yeah. But he has, in a way, raised us to become independent. Although it's fun to have him here, we don't need-him-or-we're-gonna-die. We're the Pogotribe, and even though I'm pretty new to this (I joined just a few days ago), I know that this community is able to survive on its on. I know this community has been doing great things in the past, and we can continue to do that now.
I think Dan 3.0 will only strengthen the Pogotribe. SPOTM can help us to strategize about Dan 3.0, and discuss it. We can interact and brainstorm and make this a world-changing project. I mean, is it likely that this project is going to change the world? No, probably not. But it's possible. And we should try to do that.
We're the Pogotribe, a living, breathing community. And we can make this a really great project. A project that can do great things if we put our minds to it.
I cannot wait for Dan 3.0, and I hope you guys feel this way, too.

well, you missed the point...but I've changed my opinions in the past 2 days. the reason i was so insistent that dan return...is because to organize the tribe without him would be much harder than if he were here. however, if he wants to go, let him go. in the past 2 days, the tribe has improved SO greatly it is almost unbelievable. people who have been passive are showing their true leadership potential. people who have been dormant in this tribe are coming to the fore with great projects that WILL bring us together as a community. people who i have been at odds with for months, who i did not get along with are now friends of mine. people i could not talk to for months, i now look forward to having conversations with. this is a truly amazing transformation.
i suppose at first it was a matter of convenience trying to get dan back here, but if he wants to leave, he can. we will overcome this, and we will be stronger than ever before. this has truly brought out the very best in this tribe!

For a newbie... you kinda sorta put how I felt about this exactly perfect. Good job! Just now... my opinions have become more complicated after reading some people's opinions and some reconsideration. Though the part that he raised us to become independent, that is what I stand by to be true. I just couldn't word it wrong before. That is what Dan created this community for, so I could never understand why all this stuff was happening. No reason for this post except for restating what was already said. /pointless comments

I really think that the tribe is prepared for the changes that are happening, and we're independent enough to deal with it if Dan can't be present. Dan always says that great things are happening on the SPOTM, and he's absolutely right.

"He has a life."
does that mean we don't?

Not at all. We all have lives, but we who are active on here choose to devote our time to this. Dan might have other interests, too, and we shouldn't pressure him onto coming on here often. Also, he has to make YouTube videos and manage everything - remember that vlogging is his career.
Basically, I was just trying to say that Dan is allowed to spend his life how he wants to. Maybe for him, there are more important things to do than post on a forum site. But I wasn't trying to suggest at all that the regulars here don't have lives, because I'm sure they do.

Dan, you should work out every day for several months until you're ripped and have a six pack. That would just make my day. Everyone should try to vote this idea to the top...think of the results: dan would have more female viewers, thus more female pogoers!!! it's foolproof.
