Hi I'm Euan i live in Glasgow Scotland and i love music. I listen to quite a lot of music and enjoy it i feel music is a big part of my life and without it my life would be a lot more empty. What i enjoy most about music is playing it. i play 2 instruments Saxophone and Drums (my favorite being drum) what i like about saxophone is that is a lovely sounding instrument and has a unique feel when playing. But.... what i love about drums better is being able to put on my ipod select a song and drum along in my own world where my hands, feet, ears and eyes are co-ordinating to make a rhythmic pattern that fits the music and being able to play whatever i want making up new beats and fills. And what i enjoy about music the most is its ability to bring out different moods and feels in a creative style that can reach people like almost no other art form can
what do you enjoy about music? do you play and if so what do you play and do you enjoy it?

Music is an awesome thing to appreciate! I'm not very musically skilled, but when I play my trombone I'm in a completley different world. Music is unlike any other art form because of it's fluidity and life. It can evoke so many feelings and has played an important role in society throughout much of human existance.
I think that this should become the music appreation thread. Where people can post their feelings and reactions to music or stories about how music has changed them and the course of their life.

Thats how i learnt drums i never got drum lessons as a child i'd just listen to music and tap along with my hands and feet and as soon as i got a drum kit i slowly learnt how to play well and now i can keep a beat and play a drum fill where its appropriate. now im trying to double bass and funk it up XD yea this is a music appreciation thread if you love music whither you play it or not just let me know

For about four years now, music has been the main focus of my life. Without it, I'd be nothing, I'd probably completely lose my self. I play guitar and piano and sin g and i am starting bass soon. I love concerts, I went to a Green Day concert last month and it was the best night of my life, the energy was outstanding and the feeling of the music running through my head was phenomenal; i didnt want to leave at the end.
Music has changed me so much because now I have a focus and I can't believe how it's changed me so drastically!

The music that i've been rather obsessed with recently is the Pathetique by Beethoven.
I play piano and is starting guitar. I love music for the way that it allows one to immerse to another world, without any cares of the world. You could get so carried away by the music, and intensely awed by the geniuses of classical music! Classical is my favourite, i thought it was intriguing by how it communicates without words, and all the nuances and emotions. >.<
But i'm a big pop fan too, favourites are coldplay, regina spektor, nickelback, Stephanie Sun, JJ lin....

I can definitely relate to you guys. When I play my piano I lose touch with reality. I have no concept of time, and I pay no attention to my surroundings. I feel connected with the keys, like they're an extension of myself. It's amazing how different your music sounds when you approach it with a different mood.. especially classical. You could play a Haydn sonata that sounds all cute and playful when you're happy, and make it sound sad and regretful when you're down.
Also I absolutely love to ride in the car with one of my best friends, she has an amazing sound system and blasts her music. It's a completely different experience when you can feel the music inside your body.

I. love. music. I always try to find out the meaning of songs and figure out what the artist is trying to say. I'm currently learning guitar, ukulele, and I want to learn the piano, and how to sing. I<3Music.

so yesterday i saw blink-182 and tbh best concert experience ever i mean getting crushed by like twenty people isnt fun but being inches away from mark tom and travis, crowd surfing and having mark stop the show so people can actually get up from the floor (i was at the bottom of the pile and it was NOT fun having people using my body helping themselves up though i am grateful for the people who actually helped me up and then boosted me on the crowd so i could get out) other than that it was a totally awesome night and i would DEFINETLY do it again - the crushing
