I know some people an agree with me when I say that I will randomly get ideas that sound really awesome and that I should try and remember them or (do the smart thing) write them down. And I never do. But the other day at work, I randomly thought of this idea that I miraculously remembered.
Remember when Dan was talking about how he would wish that there could be some kind of meet up for all the people as passionate and obsessed with pogo sticking as he was?
Well, I'm obsessed and am passionate about art and reading. So I was thinking, what if we could set up a kind of meet up for trading books we've read and enjoyed, and want to talk to people about. It sucks for me when I've read a book and I'm just so excited about it, but either no one I know has read it or has the time to read it, since school has started up again with a vengeance. And it could be the same with art. If you do art, you can create some original pieces, bring them to the meet up, and trade with anyone there, and walk away with something new, completely different, made by someone.
I'm not saying we should just give our addresses away and whatnot, we could just see how many people would actually be interested, or has any ideas to make this bigger and better. Especially if the people interested live far away from each other.
Okay, I've ranted enough for now. Have at it!

Depends on where it's going to be at. I live in Nevada, but I know a great place to set up something like that. But since you're the idea person you'd most likely be the organizer. Well, lets talk location.

Well, I live in Louisiana. I mean, if we do get a good number of people involved, maybe we can set up p.o. boxes to send each other the books are art pieces, or something. I'm definitely welcome to different ideas! I may have had the idea, but I need other's input to make it all even better!

What about a joint SPOTM art exhibition?
Photos and Prints of work could be sent to Dan and he could curate an exhibition from a range of work. It could be both a physical exhibition and possibly a web based gallery as well with the web gallery having several set shows at different times over the year.
Also could some sort of book club could be set up here at SPOTM which Dan could be a part of (although considering his busy schedule I doubt he could keep up with it)
