I just wanted to share this with the tribe. It's a song by one my favorite bands Set Your Goals. I think they're making strong statement and sending out a huge message with the lyrics and the video, and the music itself is pretty aggressive too, so I think all of that ties together really well.
In case you can't understand the screaming part the lyrics are:
Make way A failed culture makes its mark, existing only to destroy what came first With no regard for creation Men play God, drop unstoppable bombs All institutions are wrong but none of them will ever stop
What do you guys think about the song, video, or message? (or all 3 if you'd like)

I love songs like this, they certainly get their point across. I liked that one a lot. Thanks for sharing! Let me return the favor:

That was kinda scary lol! It sounded kinda like a "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" type of thing. But I like the approach that they took. I think it's the only way people will really pay attention to the issue.

Exactly. I think more artists should do this type of thing with their music, things might actually start changing for the better(maybe).

I don't know. I've always had a hard time with music that makes me feel like I'm being preached to.

It depends what you mean by getting their points across. Do I fully understand what they are trying to say? Yes. Am I in any way, shape or form driven to change my habits our outlook? No. It's actually rather counter-productive: a metaphorical wall comes up when something is preached at me, to the point where I have absolutely no intention of taking them seriously, despite how valid their point might be.

Really? I guess we just have different viewpoints, then. I respect your opinion, though!

One of the lead vocalists stated in an interview that the song/video wasn't really meant to be political as much as a statement that things need to change if we're going to survive as a species and it's just something that he's read up about and always cared about so he figured he'd write a song about it.
I hope that makes you feel better about it. I still like the aggressive delivery though, but probably because I'm a sucker for heavy music.
