I'm not sure if you watch AgentXPQ's videos but he usually just talks about mundane things that happen in his life, and his opinions.
This one in particular is very interesting to me because this is exactly what i think of the subject of positions of power
Anyways, the question of discussion is, how you see power? is it necessary in your life? and would you be happy having an average job/life

this topic has been one of the most frustrating for me.. As soon as i enjoy any game/social challenge i end up being put in management. Instantly it's not fun anymore. and so i find someone else to take the role and i leave. well it was about 3 years ago when I swore off accepting responsibility/management for things that helped other more than myself. (i.e. i'd still work just hard enough to be in guidelines but not caring about the heart of the job.. if something went wrong i'd show them thier training and instructions they gave me and say "Hey this is what you wanted" and when they would threaten me with being fired i'd say "do it or don't, i'm working right now" lol they tried to fire me a few times but i actually ended up being promoted for knowing the job better than the boss that was trying to take me out.... i made the mistake of taking the job and promptly quit as soon as i had all the information.. (I was told to not fake numbers *wink* and if i was caught I'd be fired) wow I'm off topic *reset* point is now that i'm free of all that nonsense i'm getting the urge to go for a power position again. The need for a power position is addictive. once you taste it it's hard to give the stuff up.. but honestly you'll never be happy with it till you have full control and can delegate the responsibilities to the peopel below you. Well.. besides the ones you don't wan't... some of the stuff you'll want to do yourself. Moral of the story: Be the boss of your own life, you won't be happy doing anything else. [/after-school-special rant]

Personally I'm a control freak. Of course I have learned to control that, but I feel good when I have power and use it for the benefit of others.
And I agree with Skwiggs.

^ Yeah thats how they get you. You want to help and take care of others .. and then if you don't help enough it makes you sad. If you help too much people (try to take advantage of / become dependent of/ flat out dispise) you.
The white knight scenario is fine if you can ride in, slay the dragon, and leave. it's when you stay that your armor rusts and sword gets dull.

well thats like if george washington had stayed in office instead of backing out after two terms... i never said i wish to be leader for long i just have a few quick changes and then i would gladly go to something better and more productive...

thats another issue though. if your good at it, and care about the people it takes A Metric Ton load of will power to leave the people to be ruled by another. Without a leader people suffer unneccesarly. With a bad leader they suffer by the hand of the leader.
If people actually took the time to ask "why is this true" to everything. (or at least 1 more time) we could do such amazing and worth while things...
Be the annoying child we all once were. Ask Why until the answers are provable and realize that all the stuff in the mean time is "scaffolding" put in place by someone to justify their own beliefs
(inb4 1 word replies of "why")

all i know is that of all things i have always wanted the pompous and ridiculous job of being the president of the united states. its not really anything more than i figure head position at this point but the point is i have always wanted to be that guy who could wake up and give a speech and everyone would listen and it didn't have to really be about anything.. i truthfully would only want one term at most if not early empeachment... i just think it would be awesome to stand up in front of the world and say hey i am in charge and listen to me for a bit...
i also really dont want to be a politician...

Attention grabber. Just make a vlog. Being President is too much work but I wouldn't mind become a Congressman or a Governor at most. You'd get to vote on bills and still not have to deal with all the tough politics. In the end I'd get to do good. Who knows, if my professional life is successful I might put my name on the ballot one day.
