Woah.
Woah.
What are you referring to there? Old school Mario games? Have you ever played them? Past the first world? Did you just call them unchallenging? You either have some serious freaking skills or you're once again speaking out of your ass. Dayum.
I'm only "making fun" of your opinions because you sound so uneducated about the topics at hand. If you don't want to be made fun of for weak opinions, don't argue on subjects for which you have weak opinions (weak as in unfounded, not weak as in poor).

Well bree, a platformer where u run straight foward Jump over holes n defeqt every enemy by jumpbg on top of em was the SHIRT when i was ten but now o prefer smthing more challenging You've obviously never played Super Mario Galaxy. Right Alex? fine, a platformer where u rum around planets jumping from one to other... After decades the only innovation is having more directions to jump and run...

^Once again making it clear that you've never played the game being mentioned and perhaps have never even seen it played.

No way to improve your strategy? Pish posh. Either way, newer Mario games require a lot more thinking, especially in later levels. Super Mario Galaxy 2? Freaking inteeeeeeeense.

Crap, I hate when I'm late for entertaining discussions (even if one part may or may not be a troll)... anyways: You seem to assume that complicated=better (or at least that simple=worse). And that's silly. Simple things can also be awesome. Have played "I Wanna Be The Guy"? It's rather simple, a big challenge and a lot of fun (but, if you want to get real nit-picky, you'd say it's a game based on the only gimmick of being hella hard, which may be partly true, but the game has more to it than that), or maybe you think there is no skills involved in simple games, which is really not true, maybe repetition is needed in these kind of games (like in most games actually) but it's also because repetition helps improving your skills. Simple games and old school games are awesome. Casual games can be really fun. And the Wii, even thou I agree that the motion things is used in a very gimmicky fashion in many games (but not all), it's still a really good console, with very good exclusive, and real fun games. And I didn't quite understand what's your problem with oldschool gaming. Yes, for you, simple games seem to be boring. But there were a lot of strategy games, and a lot of varieties besides platformers and simple games.

I wanna buy the game but I don't have any money!!! TT_TT
About Mario games, I love them, but they actually aren't reeeeally challenging to me. (Unless Galaxy 2 is way more hard 'cause I haven't played it yet.)
And Raydown, try Portal. That's the best game there could ever be.

About Mario games, I love them, but they actually aren't reeeeally challenging to me. (Unless Galaxy 2 is way more hard 'cause I haven't played it yet.) Do you play them all the way through, or just the first half of the game? In my experience (at least with newer Mario games), the first half of the game is fun, casual, and easy-going. Then the second half is freaking balls to the wall, hard as hell, wtfI'mnevergoingtobeatthisgame. Of course, the levels get progressively more difficult. In other words, if you're going to do the bare minimum in a Mario game, it's doubtful that you'd describe it as "challenging." But anything past that... yeah. Tough stuff. xD Super Mario Galaxy 2 was, for the most part, easybreezy for me until about the 5th world (there are 7)... I struggled throughout New Super Mario Bros. though. <_<
