Don't tell me. I already know they make something up and post it on the decision engine... This process needs to get better. There are numerous tasks out there that are similar in nature to many other tasks that have been submitted. Also, tasks that have been submitted often times leave Dan clueless on how to accomplish the task or how the user would like the task to be done. I propose that the decision engine be changed so that there is a "Task Ideas" section much like the "Project Ideas" part of SPOTM. This way, users can discuss which tasks they want Dan to attempt to complete and how to complete them. This would also allow for tasks to become more developed and more detailed to give Dan a better idea on how to complete the task. Not only would this help Dan out, it would definitely help the users out in figuring out what they want Dan to do. Here is the link for the task in the decision engine. revision3.com/dan30/task/create-a-task-ideas-task-development-sectionPlease vote up if you approve. - Sorry if this has been spoken about before - I just registered here a few days ago.

Voted up. I totally agree. I actually just made my own account a few minutes ago because I felt a need to complain about the way Dan 3.0 is being handled as a whole, but there isnt even a forum section for just letting off steam! So I'm just going to vote up improvements like this one instead.

I like this idea. I think it is a lot better than just having hundreds of tasks created all the time, many of which are meaningless. However, I am not sure whether this will be effective... I think that the best tasks generate the right amount of votes as it is? Also, I believe that Dan should have at least some control over *how* he completes the tasks. That's just my opinion, though. I voted *up* on the task. Good luck.

This is great, but small tasks should be exempt from revision.

However, I am not sure whether this will be effective... I think that the best tasks generate the right amount of votes as it is? Also, I believe that Dan should have at least some control over *how* he completes the tasks. For sure Dan should have control some details of each specific task but I know in the begining of Dan 3.0, he was complaining about how the tasks didn't give enough detail of what the task was intended for. I'm not sure how effective this would be either but I feel like this would at least suppress the trolls who complain daily on how bad Dan 3.0 is, when its really not that bad at all. This is great, but small tasks should be exempt from revision. Feel free to leave comments under the task I submitted so Dan can actually see ideas like this and incorporate it into whatever happens. (If the task is accepted of course)
