Hey guys, So whether you do or don't know, I just lost my Mom to smoking-related cancer a few short weeks ago. Her battle lasted 2 years and was an absolutely unimaginable way to die. ANYways since then, I've been coming down on all of my friends and family who smoke like a ton of bricks, because I don't want to see them do the same thing to themselves and their family. (Don't think me naive, I used to smoke too. But I quit and IT WAS EASY!)
THE POINT ...Is that I want to start an anti smoking campaign. Buuuut that's about all I have so far. Now obviously there's nothing NEW about anti-smoking campaigns. But I just have no idea how I should go about mine to make it effective and widely received. Any ideas? My first idea is to start out with what I can...YouTube videos. I'm thinking about doing a series, rather documentary style, but the first video would be interviewing smokers and asking "What's keeping you from quitting RIGHT NOW?", the second video would be going through the Cross Cancer Institute and ultimately ending off on a segment in a very particular cemetery.

One idea would be to make a documentary. What you would have to do is sell people on the fact that smoking reduces quality and length of life (because most people just like to live in denial), and show them they can fulfill their needs that smoking currently fulfills with something else, and then show them that it's rather easy to quit (if it is, I wouldn't know) then you could probably get most people started on stopping. The key is in the why.
This TEDxTalk should be of interest.

I really hate smoking. It's expensive, it makes you look stupid, and it eventually kills you.
Good luck on your campaign! I don't have any ideas right now, but I'll be following your channel!
