I'm not for them smashing windows or being violent. I think whether you agree or not with the policies in place, you should use your mind to defeat them, not your muscles. I'm not for the "austerity" plans either (which among many things, will raise uni tuition fees). It's wrong to penalize the most vulnerable in our society, whether it's students or lower middle-class people. It's unfair and might lead the country into a deeper hole down the line.
I wish students would find an intelligent way to find a reasonable compromise and take, in a civilized way, steps to stop the system from working, if necessarily, until this is ratified. But smashing windows only strips them from any credibility.

They are so smart. I want to see the damage-doers get fined for all the costs of the damage.
They should have all written letters and made petitions. This immaturity is not the way to get things done. Temper tantrums never get people anywhere.

This is the problem in the western world now . People push for very expensive social programs with are given to them but when they can't be sustained or when gov. looks for ways to keep them going then the logical action is to riot.
