We are going to display random acts of kindness. We will measure how many times random acts of kindness result in a "Thank You".
Wikipedia defines a random act of kindness as "a selfless act performed by a person or persons wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual or in some cases an animal. There will generally be no reason other than to make people smile, or be happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random acts of kindness are encouraged by various communities." [[I'm a Psych major, had to put a definition!]]
Examples we talked about in our Skype call: Opening doors for people Cooking for your family Giving small gifts to random people at school (flowers, etc)
If you would like to get involved, comment below and on March 28, send lizvallish a message on here with 1) how many random acts of kindness you displayed and 2) how many "Thank You"s you got as a result.

So.. we can do something like this? Dan said it should benefit the moon... I think this is great, but.. I'm just confused. So something like this is okay for our project?

Yes, while I love this idea, and it'd be a lot of fun to see the results, I'm not sure it quite meets all the requirements. If you could: 1. Spin this project in some way so it relates to the Tribe and improving it a bit more (or think of a new project entirely, that's up to you)2. and set a measurable goal for yourself (e.g. how many acts of kindness you want to get by the end) then this would be perfect.

2. and set a measurable goal for yourself (e.g. how many acts of kindness you want to get by the end) We were going to keep track of the number of acts of kindness and the number of "thank you"s we received. I've gotten 3 "thank you"s so far. ^_^

We want to display 100 acts of kindness. But yeah, we're going to have to talk some more and figure out how to spin it to make it benefit PogoTribe/SPOTM

You could display your RAK's to people in the Tribes. Compliments or special video greetings or something would be cool. I know noobs would really enjoy an extra special welcome to the tribe. It's kinda scary getting started here all on your own.

would killing a sinner to prevent him from losing his immortal soul to the depths of hell and the grasp of the devil be considered a random act of kindness?

would killing a sinner to prevent him from losing his immortal soul to the depths of hell and the grasp of the devil be considered a random act of kindness? No. You're not only taking away his life but also his free will. What does this have to do with our project Asher?

If you ask me this DOES benefit the moon. With random acts of kindness it shows that our community is a loving an opening one. now if you had something to show who you were with (like a dan brown clothing piece) it would direct people to our community. Now I want to make this a strong point, this is not a selfish thing. This is simply recruiting more members to the tribe (which was a goal in the pogotok) by showing random acts of kindness. Plus you dont need to where a shirt, our tribe at all times should reflect goodness

Actually, yes. I've been keeping count of these acts on these 2 post it notes on my binder. People keep asking me what it's for, and every single time, I deny them the knowledge. I tell them that if they wanna find out, go to them moon (and of course I explain the moon a little bit).

This is a really cool project idea! Unfortunately, it's already the 29th, so I'm a bit late. But I could still always try this out on my own, just to see how it works out.
