This video has been named the "Patriotic Rebecca Black."
Ok, along with the jokes, we must get serious.
One of the most controversial lyrics in the song is "The propaganda's got to stop." You might think that "propaganda" might be anything. Well, a tag of the video is "Glenn Beck."
So, the liberal viewpoint of this is that his parents are feeding their viewpoints to him. The conservative viewpoint is that Kory believes what he is singing.
I'm more concerned about other things besides this, (BTW, I'm closer to the liberal viewpoint.)
Anyway, the thing I found wrong about it was that his dad used to be a music producer.
Basically, I think his dad is trying to get back into music business, by exploiting his kid. Not good.
Also, if you've seen the comments online, what do you think is going to this kid's brain.. A little inkling inside me makes me think that he has not seen any of the comments.. What's it going to do to his mental health if he does?
What do you think?

"So, the liberal viewpoint of this is that his parents are feeding their viewpoints to him. The conservative viewpoint is that Kory believes what he is singing." ......I don't get it........how is that in any way a conservative or liberal viewpoint?
"Anyway, the thing I found wrong about it was that his dad used to be a music producer.
Basically, I think his dad is trying to get back into music business, by exploiting his kid. Not good."
So his dad was a music producer and helped out his kid make a song, is that wrong? You say that his dad is trying to get back into business, is this just your opinion or do you have more to back it up?
"Also, if you've seen the comments online, what do you think is going to this kid's brain.. A little inkling inside me makes me think that he has not seen any of the comments.. What's it going to do to his mental health if he does?"
So what would you do in their position? Take the song down because some people don't like it?

I'm not saying that.
I'm saying if the dad IS in fact exploiting his son, which seems to be what it is, then he's probably affecting his son's mental health. I'm not sure though. I hope it's not true.
Also, that's not what I'm interested, the liberal/conservative debate.. It seems stupid.

I'm trying to figure out what the debate is about.
Swim - you don't seem to have any evidence to back up your conjecture. Lots of ifs and thens, but no facts.
I'm impartial either way - it was an ok song, sung by an ok kid, about an ok subject. Nothing great, nothing bad, just a song.

I'm no expert on music, but I would go as far as saying that if it was a person with a better voice, the song itself would actually be somewhat good. His voice kind of kills it.

He's a kid though - can't blame him. And his voice is ok, just not amazing like some kids.

It seems like this is mostly debate club these days..
There is no debate.. I just wanted to hear what you guys thought, and if the dad was really just trying to get back into the music video.
I really do hope it was the kid who said, "I want to make a song about ___," and I just wanted to hear your opinion..
