I have no idea what Dan is doing... first he starts up SPOTM, is hyped about it for a while, and then leaves it to die. Same thing went for Dan 3.0, and he even went through quitting his YT partnership to get sponsored. And now his videos are kinda like they were before, however they are worse now than they were before Dan 3.0, and he has sponsors, which is fucked up to have now when Dan 3.0 is over.
I'm pretty sure Dan is suffering from some sort of ADHD. In any case he seems to view his audience more as numbers and text rather than real people, the way he's flailing around.
I just don't know. I sent him an e-mail where I tell him to take responsibility for this creation of his, since he apparently "reads them all". I'm still waiting for him to bring it up. It's actually not about putting this place back on track (that is pretty much impossible at this point), but Dan needs to fucking apologize for using us in the way he has, in case he doesn't want to keep this place alive. He should at least have the decency to let us know that, if that is the case.

Hese being a kid  Seriously u think all the "tasks" (i use the term very loosely) he hasnt completed were an anomaly? followed by him not completing D3P0... its who he is :/ inconsistent and inconsiderate. |

I didn't say it was an anomaly. This is something I've been thinking for quite some time. Realizing he'd just left the Pogostick WR task without any explanation was just the trigger in this case. I'm especially irritated about how he treated SPOTM; and now when Dan 3.0 is ended without completion it just feels like all of that hope we (at least some of us) had, the excitement and engagement Dan initially rendered... it was all just for nothing. I'm amazed he still has devoted fans at all. I just wish he would acknowledge the issue here Not necessarily to save it, but rather to at least offer some closing. He owes us that. |

I dont know what is going on with Dan. I for one think he is moving in the right direction. The partnership made him to me feel like he was a facade, and now he has broken that and being himself.

I just think Dan's a hardcore number 7 personality type. (#enneagram) I'm the same personality type. We tend to be creative and ambitious, but we also tend go get overwhelmed very easily, and have this nasty habit of always starting projects and very rarely finishing them. This results in being ambiguously self-sabotaging if we aren't careful. IMO.

idk...ive always noticed that dan is incapable of taking (literally) ANYTHING seriously...i mean watch his videos. the fake stutters...the half smile...the weird voice half the time...the only video dan ever made while serious was the Haiti one. everything else was just crap.

meh, i havent watched any of dans videos since nearer to the start of D3P0. I avoid siding with the masses and hopping on the "dans a prick" bandwagon. so im gonna take it further. Dans a mondo tardoloid fuckstick. im usually nice about stuff, but being one of the ronnish start a project; never finish it people i undetstand a bit more than the average goldfish. only thing is i learned something when I was 6. Dont fricking start something you cant commit to if its gonna burn someone else. in this case, hundreds of people. 2ยข for ya penny jar friends. |
