I have an idea (and follow me on this, I don't get many of them). I want to start a movie review club. Basically, we start by picking a movie to watch for the week (maybe every other week if there aren't many people). Over the course of a week (or 2) we all go buy, rent or download the movie. Once someone is down, they come back here and write a review of it. Also, people can rate it on micropoll.com. micropoll.com/t/KD2ajZBFBDThat's basically it. If you have any questions or have a movie to suggest, post here. I really feel like this can bring our tribe closer together. This also exercises our 3rd value One last thing. This is open to anyone. There's no commitment. You can come in one week, watch the movie, review it, and not have to watch the next one. This will just be an on going project (hopefully) that anyone can just jump right in.

Great idea! much less expensive and demanding than the book club. (Though that's awesome too) I recommend The Wave / Die Welle because it deals with tribal mentality and it's free to watch on youtube at the moment but who knows how long before it's taken down. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltR3kTYT3gcI don't know what its official rating is but I would guess 15.

You should make a summary video every time too, with like "this is what the tribe thinks of this movie", and present the results from the poll =) It could be good to have a measureable goal

Lets not do a review of anything like "The Matrix" or "Toy Story" because everyone has already seen them! Other than that I'll watch anything

I'll wait until Sunday. On Sunday all take all the suggestions and randomize them to pick them. Then I'll announce the movie. From there, you have a week to watch it, and hopfully, we'll get into a loop for a while. @linus: No, this is more about the community than me. Anyone is welcome to make their summery in video form though.

YES I LIKE THIS I probably won't watch every movie or write a review every week, but I'm down when I'm not busy. : D Can we pleeeeeeeeeease start sooner than Sunday though? XD That's my last day of Spring Break. I won't be able to participate then. My suggestions are (and sorry if they have already been suggested): District 9 Inglourious Basterds I've had both for months via Netflix. Whoops.

My suggestions are (and sorry if they have already been suggested): District 9 Inglourious Basterds No, I want things to be suggested more than once. I'm gonna throw all the suggestions in a hat, and if they were suggested more than once, I'll pot more than 1 paper for that movie in the hat.

Question: Where will the reviews be posted? Here? A wiki page?
Another Question: How will you choose who writes the review? What if more than one person wants to write about the movie? Maybe if people have different opinions of the movie, you could have 2 people write about it and explain why they like/dislike it.

Anyone can write a review and what they think here. It's open to everyone.
