I was looking at our pogotribe map, and come to the conclusion; WE ARE EVERYWHERE! I mean, almost everywhere. I think, that we should help eachother who is thinking about going to the other tribe members country, then the other one, who lives in thet country, could help[like suggesting cool thinkg to visit or find place to sleep] the one who is coming there. If both want to, of course. We could make a list here, and the way to communicate would be easier.

This sounds cool, and helpful except.. I'm not saying this is true by any means, but anything is possible. There could be some dangerous people lurking around forums, and if you're telling people where you're going, or even sleeping at someone's house? I think it's just a much too dangerous concept. . . Now who wants to come stay with me?

A project was started so that people who are traveling can stay with other pogotribe members... but it was a triad project and the triad failed, so I'm not sure if they're still doing it.. I think the 2 lasting members said they still wanted to. But they never mentioned suggesting where to go or what to do..
And, I don't think there's any danger in saying where in general you'll be.. like if I said I'll be London from June 3 - June 10, no one would know where exactly I'd be.. unless I were staying with another pogotribian, then they would know.. but that information wouldn't be posted directly on the forum.

That was really my main concern, staying with other people. Something about that just doesn't sit right with me. And it doesn't necessarily have to be such a big town either. Far be it from me to knock someone's idea. But, you can see where I'm coming from?

I think that's not such a big problem as it used to be tbh. Skype and youtube enables you to have more direct contact with people, so no one can say "hey I'm a 18 year old guy" and instead be a 48 year old perv.

I agree with what CrrackTheSkye said... it's pretty easy to verify that someone is who they say they are.
And it really just depends on how comfortable you are with the people here. I've been here a while and have come to trust a lot of members on the forum, so I would look forward to meeting/staying with other members. But a new member would probably be sketched out by the idea of staying with these people, because we'd be total strangers.

I guess I can see where you're coming from. I just looked at this on a much larger scale than what was being said. I was thinking he was suggesting anyone on the forum could go stay with anyone on the forum, not close friends with close friends. I do agree that there is nothing wrong with staying with someone, be it you trust them.

I am actually meeting up with Cameron and Byron in Eastbourne this summer. x3
And yes, I am one of the two people who wanted to keep PogoHost going- I'm not sure Dimstow is still in, though, since he's become an admin. We already had a pretty stable plan, so if you would want to be involved, just PM me and we could get it started again. ^^
