So, you all MIGHT have heard that bebo is planning to close its doors at the end of next month. And I just want to ask the community.
Was it really worth AOL's $850 Million.
I personally don't think it was wise in the first place to buy such a risky business. But this is their own fault. They. Were. Warned!

Bebo could have been many things, even better than facebook. But it wasn't.

Are you sure it's closing? I don't see any announcement, they're still looking for new members, and still adding new games and new features.
I don't get why no one uses it, it was is better than facebook , I don't see anything good about facebook whatsoever. Myspace and Bebo are both better. And orkut... orkut is cool and no one uses that.. and there's no point in using something no one uses.
Twitter is the only social networking site I like. I like myspace but as a place for music, not for friends. I email my friends!
Miss the days when people made personal webpages for themselves, they were always far more creative and weird, there was no format and no expectations, people just really put themselves out there and were so creative.

Worst use of $850,000,000 Ever. And people wonder why we are in a recession. They should have known it was a bad idea with facebook and all that other stuff.

I think one reason people prefer Facebook is because you cant make your Facebook page give people seizures like you can on Myspace or Bebo. It's much more pleasant not to have to look at horrible sparkling backgrounds, or screwed up layouts, or listen to awful background music that you cant find the stop button for. Even if the tradeoff is individuality. It's kinda strange how noone really complains about that, actually.
I think the problem with bebo was it was nice at first and then they started adding all these boxes to layouts left right and centre and it just got messy and undesirable.. at least thats why I stopped liking it. I never really bothered with Myspace for the same reason.

Any extra boxes can be closed. So yeah still don't get why people use facebook Why get pissed off over something which is your own choice? It can easily be switched off.

The annoying seizure pages piss you off? Or The fact that I said that pisses you off? If you don't like the personalized layouts you can turn them off in the settings so you don't have to see anyones. Any extra boxes can be closed. So yeah still don't get why people use facebook But then it's like you're actively shunning someone's creativity, or something, y'know? I mean some peoples pages are really awesome, and then there's the bad eggs, but if you turn them all off you dont get anything and you dont know what youre missing. With facebook you know youre not missing anything, and everyone chooses to keep to a standard. Also, I bet you anything facebook is nicer looking than unformatted bebo/facebook pages.

I hate Facebook, but I stay on it to talk to my friends. If my friends weren't there, I wouldn't be.
