I suggest that we have an official Pogotribe IRC channel.

Doesn't mean other people don't.

Doesn't mean other people don't. I know but it seems that there aren't a lot of people interested in a IRC channel or the ones that are, don't know it exists..?

There's no way of knowing how many people are interested in an IRC Channel. But there are a lot of people interested in a live chat.
If the alternative you're trying to suggest is Skype, no. I've been to that chat... I do not like it. Not to mention, Skype is screwy so you have like 3000 messages to load when you wake up.
There really is no reason to not have an IRC channel. o-o Now, if someone would just tell me how to add a link to the front page on ProBoards, the chat could be active. -_-

Is the new forum design gonna be a forum-based thingy or a webpage (if it will be a webpage, then you could try using an iframe html tag??)?

I agree with Click and Bree. 9/10 times, when I go in there it's either completely dead or all immature garble nonsense that just spams my notifications.

It just fluctuates a bit during the day, since there's different people on at different times. The skype room is the best way we have for tribe live chatting at the moment. Well, we could move to IRC, but then we lose the ability for voice chatting, which ultimately leads us to using IRC and Teamspeak 3 parallell. And I know that some people aren't that thrilled about using Teamspeak. When the skype chat room fills up, I can't see any other alternative than IRC/Teamspeak. EDIT: Isn't there Java IRC clients that can work as embed channels on websites?

I've been online from 10 am to 6 am this week, so don't tell me it fluctuates.
