Because they've been brought up in an environment where it occurs. The reason why racism is dying is because once you rationalise the issue, and deal with it face on, it is almost impossible to hold a position of racism. There are certain exceptional cases, of course, but if there is no other factor (social, economical or political) in the mix, it becomes impossible to hold as a position.

Racism isn't dying. Open racism is dying. Racism is still very well alive and kicking.

yeah, racism certainly isn't dying.. I don't know why this ever came to be, but it's (if I may use the lame metaphor) a cancer eating away at our society. I have a lot more I can say about this, but I'm going to make a topic in the debate club about this and some other of my views later.
