Hello,
One of the main goals for us at the South Pole of The Moon is to be honest to eachother. When people introduces themselves, it gives an insight to what persons actually come to the moon, and they get a chance to feel welcome.
Administrators are some of the most central persons at any forum. At the time being, new members coming to The Moon have no real chance of knowing who these persons in charge are. To actually diminish the clear line between admins and users in the eyes of, mainly, new members, and to actually show that the admins are as much normal people as they are, I suggest the following;
Administrators should gather up introductions. If they already have one, they can use that as base for what I'm about to suggest. If they have a video, they can include that if they want.
In the posts, they first say shortly who they are, a small blurb essentially. After that, they should address the following questions in some way:
"What is your history on the South Pole of The Moon?"
"What was the reason you chose to apply to the position as administrator?"
"What makes you awesome?"
and finally, the best way for users to contact them regarding complaints and such.
Since the admins are such an important part of our community, it is important for members to get an overview to who they are.
These introductions should be gathered in one thread and then stickied/pinned, so that new members can see it instantly =)

Oh wait, you want this to be stickied?
I dunno, that's kind of weird. The admins are the only ones who can sticky threads, so if we sticked a thread all about ourselves, that'd make us all seem a bit self-important. Boo.
I have no problem with it being somewhere, but ... I mean, if people want to know about us, they can look. OR, hey, actually talk to us! GASP.

Well it is supposed to act as an introduction, not the stories of your lifes exactly If they want to talk with you, the introductions will serve good as... just that, intros. It's supposed to give the impression of "oh, okay, so these are the admins... cool" in a brief manner, and you know... new members might feel alienated from you guys because of your status.

Introducing myself would be rather boring. Should I introduce my beard instead?
I Jest, but seriously I love this idea, Let's Du Eeet.

Why don't you gather up a set of introductions - introducing yourselves, and then some non-admin can make a wiki page that can be referenced. That way a non-admin is introducing the admins to the new people via a wiki page.
In that sense, the admins don't seem self important, but can still be introduced to new members so that the new members know who to address questions/comments/other possible administrative stuff to, along with knowing a bit about the people who make sure that the moon runs smoothly from day to day.

Well, as the start post states, those can be used as a foundation for the introductions, including those questions I suggested. Or something of the like =) Videos can be included of course. The main point is to make introductions from a template, and gather them up in one thread ^^

I don't really see the need or reason behind this.
Sure it's a good thing for new members to get acquainted with their admins, but I don't think this does anything. I usually forget everything someone posted in an intro thread 5 minutes later.

Its a good idea, introducing yourself to new players will give them a sense of community, and keep them posting.

Haha, glad to know we're all players. ;]
(Sorry, I had to say it...)
As for admin intros, I dunno. Maybe. But it wouldn't be like a special thing, I'd just post an intro thread in the intro board like everybody else. xD
