Hey everyone! So I'm rather new here but I realized this would be a great place to put out a call for help.
My friend Tyler has been wanting to start a discussion podcast of sorts. He has said it would be a "coffee shop" style discussion, but I have taken that to mean just free open talk, start with a topic but be free to let the conversation wander within reason.
Basically right now its just myself and Tyler working on this idea but we'd love to have a few more 'hosts'. We figured 3 or 4 on an episode would be nice and we could always bring in guests or have quite a few possible hosts lined up, since not everyone's schedule would work out with recording.
[This next part is subject to revision, we're still working out the details and have some creative differences when it comes to how this will work... opinions are greatly appreciated!]
We think the show would be once a week, 4 a month. Each one would be centered around a different focal point, for example:
Week 1- Book Club Discussion, small discussion on our independent reading and decide on the next book.
Week 2- Political discussions,
Week 3- Cultural (film, television, art, music) and
Week 4 could be something Philosophical/Ethical.
As I said this is still TBD. Basically Tyler and I love discussing all kinds of things and thought it would be fun to offer a discussion involving varying opinions from a younger crowd.
So what I'm tasked with doing is finding some hosts who would be flexible with recording (Tyler and I are both on GMT -5 but don't mind staying up late to accommodate a different time zone if needed) and who think they could bring some interesting discussion to the table.
Other important info: For now we'd be recording the show by Skype call with each person in charge of their own Audacity track which I would then edit together.
So if you could, please email me with a little write up about yourself (name, age, general location, whatever you feel comfortable divulging really) and why you think you'd be an interesting addition.

I love the discussion I see here in the Pogotribe community so when Tyler asked me to find some hosts I knew this was the first place I'd ask around at.
