I don't know if anyone has addressed Twitter, so I will. I love Twitter. You may say I'm addicted. I tweet pretty much everything that happens to me. I have it set up so I can tweet from my phone through a text message, so I can even tweet at school. =D I just thought I would ask everyone's opinion on Twitter. Just a little FYI: The United States Library of Congress is going to archive every tweet ever. No joke. Source: edition.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/04/15/trapani.twitter.library/

Ugh. I completely and utterly disagree. (...That is, in thinking twitter is awesome.)
It was invented for the sole function of finding out how good Ashton Kutcher's breakfast tasted.

I don't really see the awesomeness in it, I tried it for a week or so and it never caught on.
Could you elaborate on how/why twitter is awesome?

I think it boils down that it gels with some people, but not everyone. Granted, if it WORKS for you, it's a great communication tool - But if you can't convince hundreds our thousdands of people to follow you, it's a waste of typing.
...The other end of the double sided sword is that it begs the question...Does the world really NEED an update every time you perform mundane everyday tasks?

It's handy for following people you're interested in like youtubers, authors or such, assuming they use it correctly (in the non-Kutcher way).

I love it partially because it lets me keep in touch with friends I never get to see because they've moved really far away. Also, as Nakor said, you can follow bands or actors or youtubers to find out what's new. For example, I was about to drop some money on a ticket for a show and I logged onto Twitter just in time to see that the show was going to be cancelled, even though they were still selling tickets on Ticketmaster. newschooled: I don't follow Ashton Kutcher, nor do I plan on it. I don't have thousands of followers, but the 30-something people that do follow me find what I have to say important, and that's enough for me. =]

I use Twitter for the sole purpose of following people I'm subscribed to on YouTube. I never update my status unless I am responding to something one of those YouTubers tweeted.
