Well, this tribe has a lot of members, and it definitely has a lot of devoted ones, but in all honesty, how devoted are you to the tribe? Personally I'd do anything in my power for the tribe. What about you guys? Here's some questions to give your opinion on, all theoretical of course. 1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help? 2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider? 3: Are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big. 4: If a project is doing badly what do you do? 5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response? Be perfectly honest I think it's a good idea to note how devoted and how good to eachother our community can be to ensure it progresses and reaches that desired level 5 status.

1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help? To be honest, I can't see this happening - I mean I can't even imagine what I'd do because I know everyone else would be helping already!
2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider? Yes, I would consider it on two conditions: 1) It was in a few years when I was at an age of independancy. 2) It wasn't too far away from other places.
3: Are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big. I'll be more interest when it's something big!
4: If a project is doing badly what do you do? Consider if it's going to be able to be saved, and whether it's a project worth investing time saving. I mean - I don't want to spend time saving projects when I could be helping others.
5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response? The same as if anyone I know - even vaguely - was having troubles: be sad and try my best to help.

1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help? I would definitely try to help, but i'm not sure how.
2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider? That would be really awesome. But I wouldn't live there. Although it would be pretty cool if the tribe became official (like a nonprofit organization) and got a "headquarters" of sorts, I would definitely help.
3: Are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big. Definitely interested in the tribe now. I think it would be pretty cool to be, years later, one of the people who was around since the beginning. I also just want this community to work.
4: If a project is doing badly what do you do? I would definitely try to jump in and help.
5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response? I'm really not sure.

1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help?
I would do what I normally do, provide my opinion on important debates. The tribe should be able to survive without Dan, and I do not think we would have trouble surviving as a tribe if everyone who wanted the tribe to survive worked together. I would definitely be a part of that.
2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider?
I would consider visiting, but not living. I find that I enjoy living where I am. It would be a great idea for those who were not so fortunate in having a good place to live.
3: are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big.
I think in order for the tribe to be something big, people have to be interested in getting it there. I am one of those people, that's why I stick around.
4: If a project is doing badly what do you do?
It depends on how the project is doing badly. If the project ends up doing something opposite of its original purpose, I would probably jump in to try to fix things. If a project runs out of support, but has a high potential world impact, I may try to jump in and build more support. If the project is more along the lines of 'just for fun' I'll probably just let it be.
5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response?
I would respond with happy thoughts and words of encouragement, as there is very little else I could do.

1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help? Try to talk to people and make sure I know what's going on, and then try to solve little arguments between two or three people.. Solving the problem step by step. I would try to contact other members who are not involved in the arguments, and get them to work with me, to make sure we can keep the core tribe together.
2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider? No, because I think the beauty of the tribe is that we are all over the world and are able to have an impact all over the world. I think if something like this were to be decided, we should still keep people in so-called "outposts" to spread the message face-to-face.
3: Are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big. I was in here since the original forum, but not since the very beginning.. But I'll stick with it for when I have enough time.
4: If a project is doing badly what do you do? Offer my help if it might be necessary, but if it's on the verge of dying, it probably deserved to do so, so I'd do nothing and leave new space for newer, better projects.
5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response? I try to help them as much as possible through a screen.. Which isn't much. At least I wouldn't be mean to them on the forums, going "stop whining!" or anything, but instead send a nice PM with "If you ever need someone to just talk to and rant on about how shitty your life is, feel free to PM me- you will get a response". I've done that a couple of times now, it is very much appreciated.

Hey, great poll, and great questions. I answered these questions in my head, but as my answers will likely change over time, I see no reason to document them here and now. I voted for the second choice though: I'd do a lot to keep the tribe alive.

I might as well answer these as well. i voted #2. 1: If the tribe was falling apart, and Dan couldn't be contacted to save the day, what would you do to help? I'd step up to the plate to ensure that the walls didn't crumble. Try to cement in the problems and find ways to bring people back.
2: If the tribe built a central location in the world for all the members to move to and live at, is that something you would consider? It is definitely something I would consider, but only if it was an active community where everyone is doing something to help.
3: Are you interested in the tribe now, or will you only be interested once it 'is' something big. Definitely now and then.
4: If a project is doing badly what do you do? Give it as much support as I can muster up and offer my help where I can.
5: If another member of the tribe is sick, dying, or is otherwise having trouble in real life, what is your response? Sentimental get well letter and a graphic design present. I don't care if they read it or look at my picture. It's the thought that counts.

1: I would try to lead the Tribe. Of course most people wouldn't listen to me lol xD
2: Depends on the place, I guess I'd still go.
3: 150% interested, I'm contributing until the end.
4: Try to give it a 360º turn and make it more interesting.
5: No idea.
