What happened to it? It's like it died. Does anyone still use it? We had our own PogoTribe wave.

Google Wave is a program by Google that is similar to Twitter and Google Buzz in the sense that you just post updates of yourself any time. It isn't public, Google has to invite you and you obviously need a Google account. A group of people on the Moon have it (including me) but we have stopped using it.
I guess Google Buzz replaced it in a sense.

I've had an account basically since it opened, but I never used it much. I suppose if I had to collaborate on a project with someone/a group it'd be really useful.

I have Googlewave, I have like a million invites for it, but no one is ever online anymore =( I used it to chat with a few YouTubers, and now it's just easier to tweet each other or msn or fb.

Wave is only useful if you have something specific you can use it for. It's really no good as just a place to hang out or anything like that. I found it handy when I was co-authoring a story with someone for example. We kept a summary of all the information in the story in the wave, so we could edit it wiki-style and leave notes for each other. The story itself we did in Google Docs.

Google wave was over-complicated and distracted users, that led to its untimely demise. It was replaced by google buzz.

To be honest, Google Wave seemed sort of like a "fail" to me from the very beginning. I honestly saw no point to it. I mean, it had some cool features, but...

I think its a great idea. But google hasn't marketed it well enough for it to have a lasting effect.
I still check it sometimes. If you want to add me its karson.enns@googlewave.com

Google wave was over-complicated and distracted users, that led to its untimely demise. It was replaced by google buzz. Well, people who actually have a use for Google Wave can't do half of the things they can do there with Buzz. People misinterpreted Wave as a social thing, which it really isn't. It's just a tool for doing work. It was never really intended for keeping track of friends and such. They were mainly trying to market it to businesses.

I haven't used it in about 4 months because it was incredibly buggy. They should have waited a bit before releasing it.
