It's too slow and... unintense? Ugh. It's just doesn't look even slightly real.

I thought there was great choreography, great effects, and also the humorous bits were actually pretty funny (Ex: When they both lose their lightsabers and stand there awkwardly for a second not sure what to do). To each their own, I suppose. ^_^

I think it was very well produced The choreography could have been done a little better, but it was still awesome!

But you can tell that it wasn't Jedi style fighting. Being a Star Wars nerd, this video made me sick. A real Jedi doesn't aim to harm them, but only to stop them from trying to kill you. A Jedi wouldn't punch or hit someone with their hand. I only watched the first 3 minutes and was disappointing and bored. And Francisco, Jedi don't aim to kill. Jedi fight for peace.

I don't think you need to assume they're Jedi, maybe just two guys who happened upon lightsabers? I dunno, I didn't read too far into it, I just enjoyed the sequence.

actually lightsabers are physically impractical since they couldn't clash it would be like playing with flashlights. now if you created a similur weapon out of ionized plasma and ran a magnetic feild around the ions in the plasma so they didn't fly off into space you could create something very similur to the "lightsaber" but it would be made of plasma

You guys are overthinking this.. The fighting style was very much similar to the Star Wars films. That is the only series we've seen that has properly shown us the way to use a lightsaber. Even if it isn't, what the hell is?

Even if it isn't, what the hell is? 1.) Have you ever seen a Jedi punch another Jedi? 2.) They fight with a more circular/spinning motion, it's hard to explain, watch Episode II actually lightsabers are physically impractical since they couldn't clash it would be like playing with flashlights. now if you created a similur weapon out of ionized plasma and ran a magnetic feild around the ions in the plasma so they didn't fly off into space you could create something very similur to the "lightsaber" but it would be made of plasma Umm... they do clash, have you ever seen Star Wars. I think that a lightsaber isn't just a beam of light. I think it's actually solid, but very very hot, causing them to melt through objects.

wow... guess you guys never saw the Vader Obi Wan fight from A New Hope have you? Also Mace Windu carries a blaster cause there are sometimes when a lightsaber just doesn't cut it. :-) Also there are many different forms of fighting with a lightsaber. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber_combat has a lot of information on the topic. The battle was part of a competition btw. More info at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_vs._Dorkman Seen it more than a few years ago myself. I loved both the original and the second one. Original RvD

They looked like they were trying not to hurt each other. It's a lightsaber. It cuts through anything with even a slight pressure. You don't need to swing it fast or hard for it to cut someone in half. But I agree: I take martial arts, and none of the techniques they used should ever be used. For example: You NEVER EVER EVER turn your back on an opponent. A skilled opponent could take advantage of that in a split second.

I think that a lightsaber isn't just a beam of light. I think it's actually solid, but very very hot, causing them to melt through objects. Michio Kaku actually has a show, physics of the impossible, and he proposed a design for a lightsaber. It basically used nano batteries made of trillions and trillions of wafers of carbon nanorods to power a fan that sucked 100 cubic feet of air in every second, and had a plasma torch like device to turn the air into plasma, which exited through a ceramic end that had holes all along the length. Ceramics are hard, so it isn't impossible to hit that hard and not have them break!
