PunchJunky I like it, it creates this atmosphere that suggests the subject's emotions, you may not have planned it, and other people may not see it, but to me the atmosphere is disappointment and sadness, created by the lack off colour and the dead trees. and obviously the way the subject is walking =3 @crracktheskye i took a look and really like it, i love that kind of social commentary style, where you capture the moment of normality and simplicity. i particularly liked this one Trey I liked in particular the ones with the trombones(?) in them, the one of the man playing and the one with the low lighting. and was the last one 'shopped? what did you do to it?! ahaha not really photography if you change it in photoshop so dramatically =P although if you managed to do that with no help from your computer then i am impressed tbh ahahaha

I've been wanting to get into photography for the longest time and I'm going to be asking for a Canon Rebel for my birthday, so I might be posting my progress here once I start =] Any pointers would be great.

Hey guys, just be conscious of your picture size. It's stretching the page a bit.

I've been practicing traditional photography for 4 years now. Here is my flickr account if you are interested, I don't have any older work, on there but I have it on my website. These are both film. I used delta 400 film, but most of my other prints are shot with hp5. Also I'm huge fan/buff of darkroom photography. But when I lack the film I shoot digital. I have a number of cameras. I currently shoot on an canon ae-1 programed. My favorite camera is my holga. But I really enjoy using my Minolta x-370. I recently obtained an old Polaroid path finder. I plan on converting it to 120 or into a pinhole, sorry for ranting, I love photography. www.flickr.com/photos/inchoherent/4495778162/

The one-thirds rule. ISO Aperature Shutter Speed. Get acquainted with those terms. And as a first camera, I reccomend the Canon Rebel XSi, or a T1i. Both are superb cameras for the price you can get them for.

My only gripe is that it doesn't have USM or IS, but we can't get it all can we? lol I'm about to leave to the airport for New York. Any sites in particular you guys wanna see me photograph?
