Why do Threads need to die?
Why is there thread that we really liked, but no one posted in it for a while and now it's three pages back and it will probably never be seen again?
Well let's fight that!
Find a "Dead Thread" that could be continued and post in it to bring it back to life! Lets continue the Awesomeness!
Remember, don't bring back a thread which has ended, only post something if you thing that the discussion can be continued
(If there are Dead Threads... could there be ZOMBIE Threads?)

But you should only do this if you have something worthwhile to contribute to the discussion...

But you should only do this if you have something worthwhile to contribute to the discussion... Agreed. There's a reason most threads are inactive. Namely, the discussion is over and there's nothing left to say. It would be silly to bring back a thread when everything that could possibly be said has already been said.. or if it didn't get attention in the first place because it's a topic that people just don't care about.

However if there is something valuble to be added to that thread then why not bring it back to life
