So, Yeah, here goes...
I was wondering if I should become on of the many Video Bloggers on YouTube, or not really that's what it boils down to. I have a webcam and I have opinions on stuff, But I just don't know what to do. As in what to put in the video's. I am 20 (My Youtube account is a lie and I should probably try to find a way to change that or just get a new one...) So yeah, any input would be appreciated.
Thanks, Wayne

Why not? Seriously, do you have any reasons not to? If not, then vlog away!

I have the time, I have the camera, and I have the account, the problem is I don't know what to do...

Just sit down, turn on your camera, and say what's on your mind. You could also start out by making video response to other vloggers like Dan or the vlogbrothers.

My advice to you is that if you want video ideas, it has to be the main thing you think about. Make Youtube occupy your thoughts. Once you get an idea, just turn on your camera and talk. Keep doing this and your style will change and evolve over time, but make sure you don't steal anyone else's style!

First just sit down in front of the camera and start talking, you'll find something soon. What I did for a while was vlogging while spinning. I would hold the camera while i went in circles until I fell.
Just have fun!

Never mind. I am canceling this project of mine and just keeping in the same rut i was in, I need to step back and think things through.

I find that I am usually at a loss for words...at least in a flowing manner...and wonder if I should either edit, write a script or loose outline, or rehearse what I want to talk about beforehand....I want to sound real and not like a bad actor

I expect part of the problem is that you do come up with ideas, but you just don't think they are good enough. So once you get an idea, even if you don't like it, try and develop that idea. I find it easier to get more ideas once I've got the first base idea.
....How many times did I say idea.

Phat First, listen to Jake. Also, it is best if you have a plan. For some people, writing a script is best, but what I do is I just write down my main points in a word document. If I don't do that, then I'll reflect on my points long enough, so that it's like a script in my head. No need to rehearse. The beauty of a YouTube video is that it isn't live. If you mess up or if you're unhappy with a line, then you can redo it. Also, if you're words don't come out right and there are a lot of pauses, then you can edit out the pauses. You will quickly learn the beauty of the jump cut, video editing is magical.

Editing a video so that it looks like you just 'jumped' from one place on the screen to another. People use them a lot, it's a lot of fun.. Wheezy Waiter used to do loads of them, and still does.
