I'm not sure how well known this is but I suggest you take a look. It doesn't require you to give any money or food. All you need to do is answer the questions correctly for every question you get right you get to gift 10 grains of rice. So please, please, please check it out.

I remember that site. I once spent an entire afternoon there checking the words on an online dictionary. It said that I was giving literally millions of grains. I didn't really believe they would reach Africa, but whatever. :\

If you look at the banner underneath where the questions are being asked there is a banner of adverts from different companies, the banner will say something like Business.com are supporting freerice.com. They're paying for the advertising space, which I assume is the money going towards paying for the rice. Then every time your answer a question a new banner pops up. So I guess that is how the website works

I absolutely LOVE freerice.com, I think it's such a cool idea and it's helped me pass more than one Spanish test.

I remember this site from like a year or two ago, thanks for reminding me. One class I donated 20,000 grains of rice, it was awesome.

freepoverty.com is a similar website that donates water when you play.
freeflour.com used to donate flour but can't anymore due to lack of sponsoring. If you know a potential sponsor, get them involved.
Get your friends to play by making a link to it in your next Twitter or Facebook post.

Anyway, I've known this site for a while, and it's really cool! I'll be sure to check out some more of these while I'm browsing the web!
