So, pretty much what happened was, the father took his baby son and absorbed getting hit by a car going very fast to save his son.

That's great, I saw another one the other day where a sky diving instructor was left paralyzed after their parachute failed on a tandem jump and he told the woman to put her legs up and he pushed himself underneath so that he cushioned her fall. He did that for a complete stranger!
