Okay, so the idea was mentioned in another thread, and I thoght it sounded awesome. So, the reason I posted it here is I was looking for designs, and pictures. We coild have these and when you go to gatherings you could trade and fight.

This is awesome!
I'll try to find some time to make a design, and we can work from there.
Great idea Pj (yes, i will always call you pj, deal with it) ;D
Edit: we should also come up with some rules though. Like how its going to be played.

I just thought of the mods of SPOTM on playing cards (y'know, ace/jack/queen/king) and I was about to explain it in this post, but it would have sounded kind of lame. <_______<;

So we could getting into:
* the goal of this game (not.. the game.. damn..) * main cards (like in any Trading Card Game you get more and more cards after an amount of time (rare, shiny ones, ..) * How to play this game
etc.

Ok, so here is A template: - the stars are the same as the ones used for the post count - logo is the same as website at bottom right hand - Background is the forum's background image I made a simple test image using Ferre (hope you don't mind): also since it is a template, we can change the color of it for spells and other stuff.

tried to go for a more retro kind of look for the back of the card. Not sure about the overall design though: any ideas? (I didn't want to post them with their real size so my posts aren't massive, but if you want to see the images, with their true size, just right click and go to "view image" in firefox, or "open image in new tab" for chrome) <- same thing goes for the ones on previous posts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just had an idea. What if instead of making this a physical cards game, we make it an online one! I mean, I'm not sure many would buy the deck if we make it only so they can play once or twice on gatherings. but if we make it into a website, we can change the cards every now and then by just changing the image and changing the attributions that come with such. Since we wouldn't want to have people in cards who no one really knows. I think there should be some rules, such as: - The person must have been in the moon for a certain time
- They must contribute to the community in a regular bases (even if its just in the games or random stuff)
- They must be recognizable
I think a game like this would encourage more people to come to the moon/ stay/ and become a bigger part of the tribe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That being said, there are some issues: - I have no idea how to make an online card game (Although I could learn)
- We really need to come up with the rules of the game, and how to play it.
- We are going to need some sort of system of how to decide what each person's card is going to look like, and how powerful it will be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.. and let people know that because they have a higher attack/defense does not make then any better as person.. maybe should change this into something else.. not really attack/defense but maybe something like skills/attack (yes, I really thinking pokémon way.. since they are the only card game I have 8_8) we could also base the cards on the person (like say a passionate debater has a high defense/ talk or defense skill??) EDIT: A game goal; let's say you have something called level cards (Level 1 card, level 2 card) and when you win (person a Vs. person b, person a wins): (2 ideas) - you get a level (1) card and you need to
- you swap level cards person A was a level 3 and person B a level 4 so person A get's a higher level
Just my 2 cents, but I think we should get all things Pogotribe in it (levels, values, persons, ..) Links that may prove useful: *http://www.lackeyccg.com/index.html (create a online card game) * en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collectible_card_game*http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Trading-Card-Game So I guess we first should get together how we want to have themIRL/online and then we can see about the rules etc. since we need to take the possible limitations in mind..

tried to go for a more retro kind of look for the back of the card. Not sure about the overall design though: That actually looks REALLY good. After seeing it, I don't think I want anything else as a back for the cards. Also, I'm pretty sure making the cards IRL won't be too difficult. Thinking of the cards/rules themselves would probably be the challenge. If we're looking to create the game online, we're gonna need some coders and make it using a program called "BYOND" (create your own games and stuff, it's neat).

I know. Maybe(it would be crappy, but....) we could have cards online made for download, and you can put them on paper or whatever. No cost. Only allow so many cards at certain times, and never announce when, so it's all luck. Super rare(and better attack) cards could be put up for ten minutes, and have others on a random schedule always changing so there are few up at a time. And then you play irl and trade and such. I think online games would be too hard for our basic coders here.

I don't think it should be like.. something where you're battling each other.. That's kind of the antithesis of what we want.. Even if it is a game...
I like Ricky's idea of making it so we can play online. That would totally pwn playing nutsybolts >_<

what ferre said, now that the template is made in photoshop I can change it to whatever is needed. Specially since most of the changes will be written ones, and not with the images.
We do need to think of how many cards will be made at first, who will be in them, and about their description (also if I get some help with what the inside pictures will look like it would be awesome)
As I said before the criteria should probably be that they have been here for a while, and participate. So it will encourage new members to be active in the tribe.
I also need someone to describe how Magic TCG works, as I've never played it before.
Chelsea, if we don't base the game on another already made, what do you suggest should be the way that it is played?
which brings me to the final point. For the online game, we'll need help from someone who knows how it can be made.
