So here's the deal:
I feel that the headphones I buy for my mp3 player are not lasting as long as most headphones should, and I'm frankly getting tried of replacing them (by headphones, I mean those little earbuds). Of course, I am buying the cheapest headphones I could find, but now I willing to splurge if it means they will last longer that a couple of months.
So why am I posting this? If you could, please provide:
1. Your preferred brand of headphones 2. How long you've had them 3. Any problems you've had with them
I would appreciate this very much, and thanks for stopping by!

Simple solution: Buy real headphones, not those crappy earplugs. I've done 4 years with my first ones, the ones I've got now are already a year old and still the same quality and sturdiness.
If you reason not to buy them is transportation, you should look into foldaway headphones. They're awesome. Buy now.
Also: my first headphones, the ones which lasted 4 years cost me 12 euros, which is like 8 dollars or so I guess. The ones I have now were 60 euros, but that's cuz they're more fashionable.

Where I live, using those big headphones is a great way of saying "Hey, today's being kinda boring. Anyone want to rob me?".

I use the Apple earbuds that came with my ipod. in the three years i've had it i've only had to change them once ( because i trod on them. oops ) but iv'e been told they aren't the best to go with.
could there be the possibility that your earbuds are under uneccessary stress?

Exactly how do your headphones stop working? Because I've always had a problem with mine, too. They stop working in one ear, but the other one is fine. My friend told me it was because I was wrapping them around my iPod too tightly (whoops....) and it definitely helped. But don't worry, I'm on the same boat as you. I've had almost tne pairs of headphones in the past two years. The ones that come with iPods are the best ones I've had, though.

Skull Candy Ink'd
Over a year
I lost the little black cover thing on of them but it came with extras. The problem is that I liked the black covers I was using, but I had to change to a different size

Thanks everypeople! I'll look into normal headphones as well.
@tiffany: that could be the problem, the way mine break is the background music comes in loud and strong, but the singer is almost inaudible, it can be very frustrating.

I had a pair of steelseries 5h v2 headphones for my computer, for gaming on the pc and the like. Absolutely brilliant pair of headphones, i loved the sound of them for music and everything. They broke though and it was hard to fine another pair.
So I've ended up with a pair of seinheisser HD555's since theyre relatively cheap to what they once were and a great pair of headphones. Clear as fuck channels and everything and very easily modded for better performance.
But they were about 89 euro abit on the pashuh side.

I use the Bose around ear headphones because they fit around my fat head and the sound quality is pretty darn good also.

i have broken down bad sounding apple earphones. theyre really not the best around. i think normal big on ear or around ear headphones are way better.

My Apple earbuds always fall apart very fast. It sucks. One of the buds is basically hanging by a thread to stay on currently. It's incredibly uncomfortable to wear. D8 I've been wanting to get these headphones for quite some time now: tinyurl.com/zumreedheadphonesDAMMIT I BETTER GET THOSE FOR MY BIRTHDAY OR THERE'S HELL TO PAY D8<

I hate earbuds. Hatehatehate them. They just hurt my ears. I have a pair of skullcandies for a few years and they've been through some rough spots, but they still work fine. I do want a better pair though, I just don't know what kinds are good for a decent price.

if you want earbuds i suggest sennheiser cx150 or cx300 i have the cx150s and theyve lasted about a year and are still going strong. i bought them for about £15 and they sound better than skull candys at £30. im sure you could find them cheaper on the 'net and also the cx300s are even better and my friend bought some off ebay at £15, over half the street price.

I use Skullcandy Ink'd. The only problems I have had with them are the fact that all my friends want to use them, because they are apparently "The Best Quality" I have had about 3 pairs stolen, and am on my 4th. I love them, and they are only 20$ each.

Bose. Quiet Comfort 15s. Amazing noise canceling and audio quality. Great design and comfortable. Had them over a year. They cost quite a bit, but will last you... forever. I have no intentions on buying new headphones in the next 10 years....
Don't but Beats "by" Dr.Dre or Skullcandy, they both suck.
