Okay, I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE bloody science fiction. I mean stuff where people get diseases and their intestines fall out, or dinosaurs rip open their abdomens and start eating their organs while they're still alive. *laughs maniacally*
The point of this thread is to suggest books along these lines, or discuss books you've read like this.
A personal favorite of mine is the Jurassic Park series by Michael Crichton. I am in love with his books! Andromeda Strain is another good one. I just read The Hot Zone by Richard Preston, and that was nice and gory. Really loved it.
Gotta note, though, that I like INTELLIGENT gore. I don't just want to read about people's heads falling off - I like reading about the science of it as well. That's part of why I love Preston and Crichton's books. They knew what they were talking about.
So yes - bloody sci-fi. GO!

So that's why you were reading The Hot Zone! I was wondering, when I saw one of your daily vlogs. XD Though... isn't The Hot Zone nonfiction?
I wish I had recommendations, but I'm more of a soft science fiction gal. The kind of science fiction that is fantasy disguised with pseudo technobabble. Also... I'm not much for gore, anyway. Sorry I can't be more helpful in that aspect, but if I see a book that I think you might like, I'll let you know. =)

Well yeah The Hot Zone is nonfiction, but it still has the feel of a sci-fi disease novel (which, when you think about it, is really creepy).
Soft science fiction...PFFFT. Jksies it's cool. Thanks for caring! ;0
