Woot for Christians who understand that it's not a choice!!!!
My cousin is gay, and my family is like "it's still him" but then they freak out when he talks about it. They accept him, but feel like it shouldn't be discussed. I am the only person in my immediately family who believes in gay marriage.

So wait... is he gay or straight then? Is he just confused then? He's curious. That doesn't have to mean he's confused. Plus, you don't have to be "gay or straight", there's also something called bisexuality. Please do a little bit of research before posting =/

What gets me lost is why there are two types of gays. There are those normal one's that one doesn't even realize that they are gay till they say something. And then there are one's that try to make a statement, if you know what I mean.

Just like straight people, gay people are individuals, you know - it's not just a category of people who are all supposed to do exactly the same things.

I just don't understand how someone can be bi-curious. You don't know who you like? And then there's the people who'd like to experiment (sexually or not) with people of the same (or opposite) gender. Like I said before, how can you know you don't like any member of the same sex? There's only one way to find out. ..Why are there straight people who are extroverted? Why would people be introverted? It's a personality thing. Just like straight people, gay people are individuals, you know - it's not just a category of people who are all supposed to do exactly the same things. I do realize that, but at the same time this seems to be a noticable part of the whole group. What seems to be a noticeable part of the whole group? The statement-thing? No, it isn't a part of the whole group, the trouble is that you only see the ones who are extroverted So you think that's the whole group, while in reality there are way more gay people who are just ok with it and don't want to make a fuss.

That is not what I said, I know gay people who don't behave that way. "What seems to be a noticeable part of the whole group?" The people who behave that way. I wasn't talking about the "statement" (if we start calling it like that).

Could you please explain what you mean by "behave that way"? It's pretty vague to me, I don't know what you mean..

I just don't understand how someone can be bi-curious. You don't know who you like? Well, let me start this off with saying that its very hard for someone to understand what someone else thinks (especially if its hardwired into your head). If one person likes broccoli and someone else doesn't, then its very hard for that person to understand what its like not to like broccoli. The same thing can be said for sexual orientation. As someone who is bisexual, I cannot understand what it feels like to have sexual attraction exclusively to one sex. Truthfully, its like if Person A likes Oreo cookies but not chocolate chip, and Person B likes chocolate chip cookies but not Oreos. Then there's Person C who happens to like both of them. Person A and Person B keep telling Person C to choose one or the other, but Person C can't force themselves not to like one of them. A couple common misconceptions about bisexuals: 1. Bisexuals have to have sex with people of the same sex and opposite sex to be considered bisexual - This simply isn't true. All one has to know is whether they're capable of sexual and romantic attraction to both sexes in order to be bisexual. 2. Bisexuals are just confused. - This can't be further from the truth. While some people who label themselves as bisexual or bicurious are confused or scared of admitting their sexuality, there is a relatively large amount of people who are legitimately capable of attraction to both genders. 3. Bisexuals are attracted to each gender equally. - Attraction levels can vary. Someone can be bisexual and be mostly attracted to men, or mostly attracted to women. Personally, I think it entirely depends on the person and not their gender. I've never actually had romantic feelings for girls, but I have found certain girls to be attractive. 4. Bisexuals are sex-addicts or are unfaithful to partners. - There are people in this world who tend to be unfaithful, but they are generally equally dispersed amongst sexual orientations. Just because someone is bisexual doesn't necessarily mean that they will be unfaithful any more than someone who is straight. It all depends on the type of person that they are. I can understand your confusion at not being understand the concept of bisexuality. It tends to be rather complex, especially with all the social stigma surrounding it.

Hey, one of my gay friends is hitting on one of my straight friends. He has told him it makes him uncomfortable. Would telling my gay friend that it would be like a girl hitting on him work? I dont want to offend him, hes one of my best ones I have.
