I was wondering, how come this is only in English? Is it possible to create a SPOTM website in other languages? If we do, we could greatly expand the number of people we affect, and the finished Project Ideas could be translated by volunteers ,who speak whatever languages, so that ALL the world could read it!!!

There's a Spanish version of the PogoTribe in the works, I believe. It was discussed and planned here a bit.

Just wondering... couldn't Google Translate help with this? Then maybe Patrick could come in and put a little button on the top to switch languages natively or something? I dunno. I never said anything in the Spanish version thread because it seemed they wanted something a little different and I didn't think of this.
Just wondering and thinking out loud.

The problem with translating the forum is: 1. If you want to translate everything that's posted, there would have to be a fulltime translator, translating everything in real-time. Which doesn't work right now. 2. If you want to make a new side-forum, that forum might go in an entirely different direction than this one.
All in all, nice idea, but I suppose everyone just has to learn a little bit of English. It's not like you're lynched for not knowing a certain word, anyway.
PS: Oh, and the people coming in right now come through Dan anyway, so they speak English.

I'm betting that this "secret project" that is getting everybody so anxious (me included) is going to bring in HUGE numbers of people into SPOTM, and getting a fair amount of media coverage. That being said, i think it will still stay in English-speaking countries, based on the people that watch Dan's videos, for the time-being at least

Yeah I think it's pointless since everyone here watches Dan on youtube and Dan Speaks english. If Dan got famous enough to warrent a translator for his videos than maybe. Something tells me that isn't going to happen though XD

There's a reason why this is not a good idea. Google Translate is really bad.

There's one problem: if we make the site in french, spanish, german, russian, chinese etc. there will be hundreds of sites where people are doing completely different things. it would no longer have much to do with the original SPOTM. unless we made a new tribe for each new country/language...
