stay tuned. it is taking us a little longer than expected due to a writers strike...lol but it will eventually be finished. it is being worked on daily by myself, theeverbored, and Chelsea. fear not, it WILL be completed for those of you that have no idea what im talking about...how do YOU define worldsuck? thats what we hope to do. define worldsuck. make it a quantifiable problem, thus making its solution a quantifiable goal. it will be lengthy...but i suggest everyone reads it once it is released. cheers (yeah...i know...as if we didnt have enough secret projects already...)

Haha. I remember the original members were just a whole bunch of guys. I remember calling you guys sexist. Not sure if I actually said that to you though.
HAHA I think I remember one of those guys was Click. Good thing that didn't follow through.

HAHA I think I remember one of those guys was Click. Good thing that didn't follow through. Haha, totally. TBH, the original manifesto team was bound to fail. We were casually talking on Skype and we started saying that the moon was just a place for laughs and giggles and that there wasn't any effort towards changing the world with relevant projects. Then Asher made a Skype room and added 3 or 4 people. We had a google docs thing for ideas. Everything was cool untill Asher wanted us to write 2 pages about world problems. Due to my laziness and short attention span, I have decided not to read your lengthy post.: We were a bunch of guys complaining about people not doing anything and as soon as we were asked to actually do something, we stopped. EDIT: Forgot the insincere well wishes and the useless tips!I hope you guys succeed, have fun!

yes...and then maybe actually get something meaningful done...one thing to thing about in the meantime. i was talking to theeverbored about this 2 nights ago. it's all well and good if we read this, and we know what we are supposed to do. but how do we translate that to the world? how can we use what we know, our knowledge of what has to be fixed, and our abilities, to change a world? we are a relative drop in the bucket compared to the population of the world, how can one small online community alter the course of history? i have no doubt in my mind that it is indeed possible. take a look at the great leaders and revolutionaries of histroy. martin luther king. ghandi. those men changed the world, working from the ground up. i have no doubt in my mind that we can in fact have a huge impact. the question we have to ask ourselves is this: how do we shift everything we know, our ideals, our values, our community, from an online setting to the real world? how do we take everything we have learned and accomplished here online and apply it to real people, and real problems? this is a question we MUST start thinking about, as it is a question that decides our future as a tribe, and as a community. how can WE change our world?

Easy. Stop pretending that you're not a no lifer internet addicted nerd and talk to your real life friends about it.

yes, you should but that wasn't the point. the point was, how can you take something made in miniature on a forum of 3000, and transfer that to a world of over 6 billion? we can discuss these issues all we want online, and that is definitely beneficial, seeing as we must first understand what we hope to accomplish perfectly before we can hope to implement any of our ideas or solutions, but it was more of a numbers question. how can 3000 influence 6 billion? do we create a model community online and point to it as an example? do we go for direct world improvement? if so, how do we do that? how do we influence governments? how do we convince billions? how can we bring peace to a continent plagued by war? how can so few influence so many?
i am not asking this to discourage anyone, but it is a question we must start asking ourselves...especially if, (and i mean IF) Dan's project includes anything that is indeed world changing...(please leave secret project speculation out of this thread)

Right now we still need to grow a lot.
We're not a forum of 3000, we have like 50 core members.

I'd be happy to take the manifesto and put it in video form (crediting you guys, of course). A few of the people I know on Youtube have a good following themselves, and a couple even know the Vlogbrothers personally. I also have IRL friends that I've gotten involved in things like this, and they love it.
*Eagerly awaits the release of the Manifesto*
