Anyone know much about PHP?
If you do, how did you learn it and how hard was it?

I know somewhat much of PHP, I have been learning it for around a year and I'd say it's a pretty easy programming language to learn, especially if you have previous experience with programming. The best resource for learning PHP in my opinion is the PHP manual at php.net/, which has basic tutorials, examples and documentation for every aspect of PHP, including built-in functions, special variables, language constructs, classes and more, plus documentation for many extensions (like MySQL or cURL). You should have a look at the getting started tutorial if you want to start learning PHP. Another great resource I've used a lot is the PHP IRC chat room at Freenode, which you can get to the following ways: - Go to webchat.freenode.net/, enter any (unique) nickname and ##php as channel and connect.
- If you already have an IRC client, connect to irc.freenode.net and join ##php.
The people there have been very helpful for general PHP questions when I can't find the answers in the manual.
