In the navigation bar on the top, there is a much useful link providing access to the Chat room trough a web interface. I think that the link should be accessible to logged out users too, as the room (either trough a dedicated IRC application or trough the web interface) is available to everybody. Perhaps, as I can expect the weekend flow from Dan's Secret Project to be big, we could provide different pages to each type of user. - Logged out, the "Chat" link would lead to the thread with information on how to access it trough a dedicated IRC program.
- Logged in, it would lead to the web interface, which should also provide instructions on how to access it on a dedicated IRC program below the web interface.
This would prevent to a certain extent that the flow of new users accessing it could do it with some work, making it so that only the truly interested users would get into the Chat room, thus avoiding potential spamming.

I hate to do it, but I'm bumping this thread. It is a really simple idea, very easy to implement, and I think it would be good to apply it. If you didn't understood, here it is better explained: Navbar when logged in: Home | Profile | Help | Search | Quick Links | Members | Chat | Logout Navbar when logged out: Home | Register | Login | Help | Search | Quick Links | Members How I think the navbar should be when logged out: Home | Register | Login | Help | Search | Quick Links | Members | Chat That "Chat" link, when logged out, could link either to the current logged in chat link or here. I also think details about how to connect trough IRC besides mibbit should be added below the mibbit chat. If there are any doubts on how to do it, I am willing to help as I can (even if the things you need help for are related to proboards administration that I know nothing of. If you have an opinion please vote on the pool and if you have a reason to back up your opinion please explain in below. And if the admins could give an answer on the subject I would be glad to hear, even if the answer is a "NO!". (If the admins don't like the bump of this thread, please merge this post with the one above, thank you)
