What are some ways we can fund the really sweet projects that we come up with? My idea is that we could get a Youtube channel partnered and all income from that channel goes into the tribe. This is only one idea that i came up with. I believe that their is so much more that we could do with if we had a source of income.
PS. Getting partner for a channel is a bit hard i realize.

I think the this is a smart idea. The only problem I see is that the pogotrbe channel does not get a lot of hits (as far as I know) so we wouldn't make any money, considering that Youtube would want to talk to us in a first place.

I agree with krzych32. Great idea, but no hits. From that consensus we can (A) advertise the heck out of the pogotribe channel (B) choose a channel that is doing okay and advertise that or (C) create a whole new channel. I want to help either way

Just throwing this out there -- if thepogotribe becomes a partnered channel, the money generated should go back into the tribe and to charitable causes.

And who would decide where the money goes. Chelsea would have the main say... but I as well as a few other people would also have a say in it as we post there/house keep alot. I tried to get us partnership before... we didnt have enough sub's. And afterall. Im sure between myself and chelsea we would see your opinion to find the best places for money to go. |

I think it may be a good idea to create a new account, just for that. There is no need for that... We have 650 subscribers and plenty of recognition and a great username... no need to make a new one. |

Ok, so we can use the same account, but we still should look for a wider audience. Videos talking about what is going on in this forum are not very interesting to the outsiders, and mostly people from this forum. |

A long time ago we were thinking of using a system in which people would say how much money they would donate to the tribe. Once a project came up they would decide if they were ok with giving that money for the cause, therefore all the people that gave their money would know it is going to a cause they also believe in.
the program already exists and would only have to be implemented, but I need to look for it.
Its more like somewhat that would be put as a link on the youtube website, on the moon itself, or on other places.
Not sure if this helps but thought I would mention it.

first off.. uhh you have the combined talent of the moon at your disposal if the moon asked everyone to come up with interesting videos comedy and what not and then asked everyone on the moon to subscribe to the you tube account we would be able to easily bring in a following... i believe that the admins should all have access to the channel. it would be a colossal collaborative channel with a wide degree of different talents heck you have some people that already have successful you tube channels that might be able to help promote and guest star..
this is a very plausible idea and the first that i am actually willing to volunteer as much time as needed to see it through...
We should set it up with a simple call to arms.
the admins first would have to create or obtain access to an official SPOTM you tube channel and an email address used for sending in the videos. with the main focus being charitable donations and such. All admins and some of the most trusted members should have access to the channel and the email accounts. we set up a treasurer who makes a bank account with the soul purpose of storing the money (this last part only happens after it starts generating money)
then we ask all the moon to subscribe like and favorite the official you tube page and its videos.
Edit: then everyone should probably start promoting the thing like crazy maybe even our good friend dan brown might be able and willing to help a bit.(high hopes from me at least)
(i would think if even only half of dans subscribers just took a quick peek at our page once its up and running it would become an instant partner or i dont know maybe dan could actualy ask youtube on our behalf.. but heck lets assume dan cant help us and hope he sees this and says something like "this is an awesome idea" or something like that)
from there we ask for everyone with a working video camera to start making videos whether they are music related or comedy, vloging or parody as long as its not viacom or any other copyright material it will be accepted. then we make playlists and put the videos on the page.. we could even ask any of the non moon viewers later on to make videos and such to add to the page..
now this would be a major project and would not show results for months but if we started and truly worked together maybe even having some of the triads work on single videos of high quality.
hmmm maybe i am just dreaming of something that will never be but it seems not only possible but easily achievable if we as a tribe work on it.
heck if the admins don't want anything to do with it we can just have it run by trusted members..
i only have one question... how many pogo tribe members have working cameras and are willing to send in video to help..
i am betting a large number.
the best part is unlike a collab group this is the entire tribe. so video would be easy to come by. hopefully...

Why do you suppose the admins should just take control? Do you think that when something becomes popular we should just not be trusted and the admins should get it? Do you not believe Chelsea and Myself are capable of keeping the channel running? -------------------- Also, we already give the password to anyone who wants to post on it... many of who are admins. i was thinking of leaving the pogotribe page alone and starting new.
i just assumed that if its going to be representing the entire tribe the admins should have access as much as we do.
the reason we should start new is because of the name acctualy.
pogotribe makes me think pogo sticks. we are the SPOTM we should have a name that would stick better. that was made by the tribe.
it was just a thought i dont mind if we keep the old one and work off of it instead but the admins would still be needed to help get every one in the tribe into the idea.
i am happy to hear that dan would be willing to help us promote it and i know we have others with decent followings as well.
i just got excited about the idea of a project that i can get into and well i get alittle bit crazy when i have not had any sleep in 37 hours.
edit: also this is in the project ideas section for a reason.
i dont want to take anything away from anyone.
i also wouldn't trust my self with the tribe's money and i will admit that as of this moment.
