i think we are all missing the point here: we DO have the power to 'make' dan learn a new skill. but if you were given unlimited time, would you simply acquire a new skill? to quote the movie 'Inception'--you mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling. Why don't we all start a charity? Co-op it with youtube, and create a charity to help some cause that isn't often helped: for example: no AIDS coverage, no CANCER coverage, as our drops in the bucket wouldn't help much there. how about we create a charity that works with youtube to enhance public school learning through means of technology?

I think Dan should open a donation site; one where we could choose what he does with the money. We should be able to see how much money we have collected, and discuss and vote what he should do with it. We probably won't need donation money-- that's what advertisers are for! For now, don't worry too much about money--we'll worry about that if and when we have to. Just focus on brainstorming cool ideas

I think Dan should call his parents, and take whatever clues from them and possible paper/home/schoolwork from his formative years, see the things he wanted to do, places to go, and jobs he wanted, and at the very least attempt to be the person his childhood self wanted to be.

So, sitting here and brainstorm for a few minutes, trying to come up with an idea for Dan 3.0 that only I could/would think of is proving very difficult...Being so connected with the internet makes me feel like every idea I have is one that is already creatively shared with a large community. ex: make dan write a song, audition for a play, participate in a bike tour/marathon. People do this all the time.
So I dug a little deeper. This is going to sound crazy, but one thing I've done that I know very few people have done is befriend a stray animal. When I was little, I would sit under my back yard deck in the shade and feed the feral neighborhood cat bits of my bologna sandwich. It only took a week or so before he would let me pet him as he ate. So that, I believe, is my semi unique experience.
It's odd, possibly, yes. But it's one of those bizarrely creative things that require only one stray cat/dog, a cold cut sandwich, and the zen-like kind of patience found only in 8 year old girls and video game aficionados.
So, I'd say, let's make Dan attempt to befriend a stray.
judge me.

Let's get Dan into Guinness World Records for the fastest time completing a rubiks cube, on a pogo-stick... and have it done wearing the stoner gorilla mask.
Another one, how about we make Dan visit at least X different countries during the year. I say 5 countries.
edit: new idea... Let's get the happy couple (if this is within the rules) to go trick or treating as each other.

I actually really like that idea, but I think the idea of a stray might be far fetched in a society in wich strays are taken and often killed. I would say to to the pound and save an animal on the day it was meant to be put down, raise the animal to be healthy and then do something to give back to the community with it.

You should go into a wallmart (or target) or local store wearing a goorilla suit or mask. go up to a person that works there with a bike and ask if you can test ride it in the store. if she or he says no ask if you could test ride it outside. if no agian, say ok walk away and ride it through the store anyways. but make sure no people that work there seeing you, please critisise my idea. (not my spelling though )

I know this is not too creative but you should make a walk across the U.S. however dont stop there attach tredmills to a boat and walk on the while you are going across the oceans and what not then pull into ports and walk from that port city to all other major cities and so on and so forth. As well you should take some random plot of land and make a micronation.

I understand this isn't something only I would think of, but you should adopt a cat from an animal shelter and raise it. It'd be cute and your viewers, I'm sure, would love to watch your cat.

i'm probably going to submit a whole bunch of ideas that aren't really that big, liiike, for a week or two, everything dan eats for a day has to be from a different culture/country and spend an entire day at a very busy shopping centre opening/holding the door for people.

i think for a monthly goal dan should do a Charity Tandem skydive. Its safe, fun, exciting and all goes towards a good cause (Dan can select the charity or we could vote on that too)

Try to, for a week, get as much publicity as he can. Call large and small newspapers, call television networks, do anything. More publicity means more ideas.

I think dan should going find a place in the US that need help and help them for a month or so. Like help build a house for tornado reliefs or clean up the yard where the house was. Or maybe talk to them and help them feel better and let them know they are not alone.

I would have Dan follow Orthodox Jewish dietary laws for a month. He would only be able to eat foods marked kosher by appropriate organizations. No pork, bacon, shells, clams, etc. No eating milk for three hours after eating meat. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashrutwww.jewishcooking.org/kosher-symbols.htmlI was also thinking of having him observe the Sabbath strictly, but he would be forbidden from making videos if he did, so... 6 hours actually, unless youre german, dutch, or according to some others 5 hours and a minute...plus a multitude of other minor dietary laws...wikipedia is not the bes source for jewish law...i'm better ive been studying it for longer than wikipedia has existed although i wouldn't see the point in having him follow jewish dietary laws, i do think it would be a good be to help him out by researching and designing a loose dietary plan designed for health and longevity. things like whole grains high in fiber (the whole grains and complex carbs release carbohydrates into the bloodstream much slower, preventing blood sugar spikes and requiring less food for constant energy, and the fiber scrubs out the digestive and circulatory systems), fresh fruits and vegetables (provides water and ample amounts of regulatory vitamins and minerals), hardly any meat (harder to process, lots of unnecessary fats), proteins like eggs and fish (proteins provide the materials used for stuff like bodily regeneration). this, along with mildly strenuous exercises and stretches. (flexibility drastically reduces joint decay, and so does a balanced muscular system, which also improves blood flow and reduces average muscular strain, along with a crapload of other benefits) I'm just saying, a healthy dan is a happy and active dan.

Alright. Some more ideas. 1. Make 1000 origami swans. Not time restricted though. 2. Learn a language. 3. Break a world record. 4. Read the Twilight series. IT'S DIFFICULT!
