I think (but not sure), thats its around 5000 dollars a week. So yeah, that would be enough. Either way, Youtube is his job, however much he is making, it is enough to live off.

Good question. In the first Q&A Dan briefly addressed the question of budget. He said if people suggested expensive ideas, he could approach advertizers/companies to see if they would sponsor different projects.

Also, I know Revision 3 is involved, and I'm unclear whether or not their involvement includes any funding.

Lastly, Shawn's been doing Uncultured Project on a shoestring budget for quite some time, and I'm sure he could give Dan some pointers.

For now, I don't think we should limit our brainstorming to any particular budget unless Dan clarifies some budget limits.

He's starting with $10,000. He's making videos every day. I think he'll accumulate money fast enough that we don't really need to worry about it. If it does become an issue, well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it..

Soo i am a true patriot to my country costa rica and well we are most defintley not a fricking world power!!

So i was thinkung how could the trube make a difference! There are more than a few projects to help out and well it would just be awesome if the tribe could send dan over there! I could be like the delegate and with u guys raising funds we could REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Plus i could get PRESS COVERAGE and SPONSORS we could really make this a big thing!

I think that right now, Bangladesh needs more help than Costa Rica. Come on, the literacy rate in Bangladesh is around 41%, while in Costa Rica, it's aprox. 97%, one of the highest in Latin America. Of course it's not just that, bit you get my point.

Don't suggest a country just because it's the one you live in. There are different realities than yours in the world.

i know but it is countries like those that are the ones that get all the help.

Its like Brad Pitt giving away millions to africa when Americas neighboring country mexico has places of extreme poverty.


Am just sayin we need to think outside the box into places that people normally do not tend to help

I'm in! I really like the idea of Dan actually going somewhere and participating first hand in something like the Uncultured Project. Got my vote.

Go to Bangladesh and help out with the Uncultured Project for a month.

Personally, I wouldn't make him do another Uncultured project. If that's what we really want, we should make him go somewhere else, not to Bangladesh.

I think it would be more interesting to try to make him work as a volunteer worker for some non-profit organization (or similar), and have him vlog about how it's like. It will be an eye-opener and hands-on experience for both him and us.

What about having Dan volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters for a month? That wouldn't require any start up money, and it would definitely decrease world suck.
