Party to Decrease World-Suck (DWS)

It seems we're organizing ourselves into "Parties" to lobby for certain ideas, so I'm starting a party for anyone interested in using Dan 3.0 to decrease world-suck (aka support charities and use Dan 3.0 as a force for good in the world.) This party would vote up ideas that help charitable causes chosen by the community.

If you're interested, respond below. You can add your own suggestions or just say "I'm In"

I think we should tell Dan to go to Bangladesh with Shawn of the Uncultured Project (youtube.com/up) for somewhere between two weeks and 1 month.

1) This would likely be a life-changing experience for Dan.
2) It will give the Uncultured Project TONS of exposure (2+ weeks of daily videos). I've corresponded with Shawn and he's told me that exposure is what he needs most right now in order to further his work.
3) Members of the PogoTribe would have an opportunity to participate in alleviating global poverty in a very direct way. The Uncultured project takes comments/suggestions and donations from the YouTube community without the layers of bureaucracy involved in large charities. It's literally one community helping another.

I've corresponded with Shawn, and he said he has spoken with Dan. Dan is willing to spend some time in Bangladesh with Shawn if the community votes accordingly. We've got to make this happen folks. Who's with me?

Great idea(s), I was thinking Dan should do one of those helping the world sort of things and putting that with the uncultured project is great.
I would definitely vote for it as it would be a worthy experience and very beneficial for decreasing world-suck.

I made a list of unions. For now, I will use the description of interests for this party as follows:

I'd like to join. Perhaps Dan goes and volunteers his time in the gulf to help clean up the spill. There's still a lot of work to be done as far as cleanup.

I'm in, for getting Dan to Bangladesh and just decreasing world suck in general.

Perhaps, we could even have smaller goals related to that for his day to day life. Like for example, because Shawn needs exposure the most, in addition to getting Dan to go over there we could also get him to start a Youtube campaign (for lack of a better word) and get other big Youtuber's to support the Uncultured Project. That way not only is Dan giving Shawn exposure, but dozens of other Youtuber's are as well.

As far as other ideas I haven't thought of any yet. Right now all I can think of is that we should steer clear of just having him donating money. Because a) that seems like a subtle alternative and nothing else about Dan 3.0 is subtle so why should one of his goals be subtle and b) Dan strikes me as the type of person who would donate money on his own without us telling him too, so why waste our votes on it?

In conclusion, Bangladesh and other remarkable ideas of the sort = good. Simply donating money = not bad, but to normal for Dan 3.0.

I'm in, I like the Bangladesh idea, specially because of the exposure, and I agree that Dan should try to show how the world needs help to as many people as possible, instead of helping alone.

I agree the Uncultured Project is amazing and it would be good to see Dan go over there to see and experience what it's like the exposure would be good for Shaun aswell.

Awesome coalition, I'm in, the only thing I have against it right now, is the sending Dan to Bangledesh, not that I don't think it's a good idea and I would love to see him go, it's that it's kind of already been done, I would recommend going somewhere else to decrease world suck. But, even if you guys disagree with me I will still help.

Yeah, I think that's a great discussion to have. If we send him to another country that needs help, he would have to cooperate with other charity organization, and promote it. We have to decide which country will he go and which organization he will promote.

But I think going to Bangladesh and promote the Uncultured Project is already a great idea

Er... I know that Dan says he gets lots of money through his Youtube Partnership, but how much is lots? Is it enough to go to other countries?
