Okay guys, this isn't a "Is pirating immoral" thread. Do you pirate? What do you pirate?
For those unfamiliar with the term "pirating", "pirating" is simply downloading something illegally on the internet, through rapidshare, ThePirateBay, Demonoid, whatever. If you want, you can say how much you pirate things, or why you pirate things.

*raises hand slowly* Yeaahhhh.... about that... I pirate a couple of movies here and there if I know my family won't watch them with me (and I don't feel like spending the money). I'll watch it once and delete it. As far as games go, I've torrented a few oldies. Television? Well, the only television show I've pirated was Dexter (I don't have sho-time, and I refuse to watch the edited version). That's it You a cop or suttin?

Nope. I pirate games and music. I've never felt the need to pirate movies and TV shows.

I used to do it all the time, mostly with music. Now my music library is so big, I don't really see the need to pirate any more music.
I still occasionally will download a movie and watch it alone only to delete it afterwards. Mostly if I can't find the movie at the store.
I've only pirated three games in my life.. Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, and Final Fantasy VII.

a) I used to download music before, but now I just buy it from iTunes, since I can't transfer illegally downloaded music to my iPod from iTunes anyways since I don't have iTunes. b) I used to download applications (incl. video games) before, but now I have just switched to Linux where mostly everything I is available for free. c) I sometimes download movies and TV shows and watch it once, and then delete it.

I've pirated about 300GB worth of music so far that is scattered on multiple computers and external hard drives right now. I've only pirated a few video games, but still done it. My recent pirating exploitations include stealing programs from Adobe.

I pirate TV, mostly because satellite and cable here are extremely expensive, but I usually buy merch from my favourite TV shows so I guess it makes up for that. I pay for a Megavideo account so I can watch unlimited TV/Movies. I pirate some movies too but if I really like it I buy it. I've pirated old games but only ones I've bought. All of my gameboys/games were lost, stolen, or sold so I just pirate it. I'm not paying $100 for a new gameboy and $25-30 per game for games I've had before. The same w/ Sims games. I DON'T pirate music because I believe that good artists should be supported.

I pirate TV because Mexico gets TBBT like a year after. Movies are the same. I used to pirate music, but thanks to bandcamp and itunes, my itunes library is 95% legal. (except for the beatles music, which is going to change thanks to the Apple+Apple deal. lol.) I also pirated apps, but I've also started to buy legal software, and the only thing that's missing is iWork, and I'm gonna buy it when '11 goes out. All my games collection is legal, and I'm proud of that

I pirate music and movies. I don't feel like watching TV on the internet should be illegal, though. I mean I have a TV, I watch the shows, but if I want to watch something and it's not playing on any channel at that time (which is almost always), then I'll watch it online. On demand viewing is the only way to go =] Plus pirating is eco-friendly ;-D
