obviously I understand the concept of posting comments and having constructive discussions, but I'm not too sure where to start (besides Dan 3.0). What original discussion could i be a part of to learn the ropes? so to speak.

First of all, (not 'striaght') Secondly, welcome to the moon. Lastly, my advice would be not to start posting just for the sake of posting (except maybe in the forum games section...), but just join a discussion if you have a genuine opinion about it. When you find a discussion like this, that you're actually interested in, it'll be much easier for you to get involved in the discussion. Another option would be to start a thread yourself about an issue that you are genuinely interested in.

Yeah that's great advice Niek. That's a really nice thing about not having a post count. Instead of posting for post count, your incentive is to make your voice heard.
The two forums you'll want to start out in are "Anything and Everything!" and "YouTube and the Internets." They pretty much contain a random mix of things that are really easy to talk about. You'll find that it's really easy to get the flow of conversations here after awhile.

what he said^
and once you get "the flow", head over to the projects or debate section (or just do that immediately) and give your opinion, time, or argument

and once you get "the flow", head over to the projects or debate section (or just do that immediately) and give your opinion, time, or argument Yeah, definitely! Plus it gives you something to do or look forward to! That isn't some impossible project that you know will never get done. Stuff gets done here on The Moon. EDIT: Oh my God I finally understand why I see the out of place "SHIRTs" here on the forum. It all makes sense.
