On every other forum I visit/moderate/administrate there is a feature on every post where you could report it (and the mods have a hidden control panel where these reports are listed) for offensive behavior, flaming, trolling, off-topic, spam, advertising, bots, etc. and it's really quite effective. I haven't noticed this feature here. If I'm just a bit blind and we have this, could someone drop a screenshot in here and let me know where it is? Otherwise, I think it'd be a great addition.

I don't think ProBoards has it.
But it wasn't effective at all on phpBB. We had it, it was obvious, and in the four months we were on that forum, LITERALLY four reports were made. And one was by Danielle, so we're going with three.
So, yeah, I don't find it to be much of a concern. If you end up on the moderation staff, and you really felt lost without a system like that, that would be a good time to bring it up.

When did I report something?

When did I report something? December 10th. Then you locked the thread. We had only been mods for a week or so, so you were probably just fooling around with buttons.

Hm, alright then. So what's the best way to let mods/admins know about "bad" posts/threads? PM? I say this because I recall some times when I wanted to report at least a troll or two, but I didn't think it was my place to just PM you guys with little things like that. Though, I must say, the "bad" stuff doesn't really appear here. I guess we have a pretty decent community moral-wise right now.

Ok, just to let you guys know, this has been added now. You can find a "Report Post" link to the lower right of every post. This is one of the rare times I will bump a dead topic.

Ok cool, that really helps... i've been seeing some things going off topic with some inappropriate things. Only the report button is really more of a 'last resort' for me.
Stuff like that is really like graffiti on our awesome society. Is it in any way ok to PM posters that do there to tell them it's not really all to ok, or should the report button just come into play to let the admins tell them that?

I'd just report.

I don't think I've ever hit the report button. If I had a real problem with someone I'd either PM them and ask them "wtf" or PM an admin and ask them to take some action (but usually the first).

The report button isn't so much to report problems with other members as much as it is to help us see threads that need to be locked, moved, etc.
